Cologne – November 03, 2026 -- COLLECTION Business Center in the Wallarkaden at Rudolfplatz 3 lets companies hold a Cologne business address without leasing a permanent office, separating the question of where a firm is present from how much floor space it needs.
Fifth-floor center combines address, phone service and bookable rooms
The center occupies the 5th floor of the Wallarkaden, in Cologne's inner city. Eric Kuster Metropolitan Living designed the interiors. Reception, personal support and roof terraces complement the work and meeting areas.
KVB stadtbahn lines 1, 7, 12 and 15 and bus lines 136 and 146 stop at Rudolfplatz. Parking with access to the business center is available at the building.
Four service tiers range from mail handling to registered seat
The basic business address covers receipt and forwarding of business mail. Depending on the package, a company sign at the entrance is possible. A phone package adds a local Cologne phone and fax number, with calls answered personally in the client's name. Urgent calls are forwarded and other inquiries are logged as messages.
A virtual office bundles address, mail and phone services. Day offices, meeting rooms or conference rooms can be booked on top for in-person meetings. The center also offers furnished single and team offices and coworking desks, bookable by availability for single appointments or longer terms.
The target group includes consultancies, law firms, family offices, real estate companies, mid-sized firms and international companies whose staff work mobile, from home or at client sites.
A virtual office alone does not suffice for registration purposes
Companies that want to use the address for a commercial register or trade registration need more than a virtual office. COLLECTION offers models that pair the address with a usable workplace, for example in the coworking area. Whether a specific setup meets a company's legal requirements should be checked case by case before signing.
Under section 4a of the German Limited Liability Companies Act (GmbHG), a GmbH's registered seat is the domestic location set in its articles of association. Section 10 GmbHG additionally requires a domestic business address in the commercial register. A seat of "Cologne" and a business address of "Rudolfplatz 3" are therefore legally distinct entries. COLLECTION states that its advice does not replace review by a notary, legal adviser or authority.
CEO Dr. Andre Helf said many companies no longer want permanently leased space but still insist on a prestigious address, personal availability and a professional environment.
Written quotes should itemize services, not just the entry price
Traditional leases add costs for furnishing, technology, cleaning, utilities and reception. For address and virtual office products, the relevant cost is the set of services actually needed. A written offer should state what the base price includes, how mail forwarding and phone service are billed, and whether a company sign is provided. It should also state the terms for day offices and conference rooms, and the contract term, notice and switching options.
COLLECTION suggests three selection questions: what the address is needed for, what availability the service team must ensure, and how often real work or meeting rooms are used.
