Bend – November 03, 2026 -- Platformr, an AWS Partner, has released two additions to its Optics AI Suite: Optics Tag Manager, which audits and applies resource tags across an entire AWS Organization from plain-English requests, and the Optics Remote MCP Server, which connects third-party AI assistants to Platformr Organizations.
Tag Manager applies bulk tag changes across multiple AWS accounts from one agent interface
Tags drive cost allocation, attribute-based access control (ABAC) policies, partner program attribution and operational targeting for services such as AWS Systems Manager and AWS Backup. Platformr says inconsistent tags leave cost attribution unreliable and turn cleanup into weeks of scripting.
A user can, for example, ask the agent to find every EC2 instance in us-east-1 and us-west-2 missing a CostCenter tag, then apply CostCenter=Platform-Engineering to instances tagged Environment=prod. A structured query builder targets resources by account, region, resource type and tag presence. Teams can add, update, remove or rename tags at scale, preview the full impact before execution and share a Tag Compliance Report of audit findings.
Tag Manager's service role is limited to tagging operations and logged in the customer's CloudTrail
The role cannot read application data, change resource configuration, or create or delete resources. Customers can layer their own Service Control Policies on top, and every action is recorded in their AWS CloudTrail, with Platformr's activity log capturing the originating request. Because the agent runs on Optics Discovery, requests resolve against a live view of the organization rather than a cached inventory.
Tag Manager reads and writes the PRM tag that AWS partner programs use for attribution
AWS Partner Revenue Measurement (PRM) can attribute usage to a partner's solution through a resource tag, and the Migration Acceleration Program (MAP) uses resource tags to track qualifying usage. Tag Manager can audit an organization for resources missing the PRM tag (aws-apn-id), apply it in bulk and catch drift before it affects attribution. Resources deployed through Platformr already carry the tag. AWS determines eligibility and benefits under its programs.
"Fixing tags shouldn't mean weeks of writing scripts and cleaning up account by account," said George Rolston, Co-Founder and VP of Product at Platformr.
MCP Server lets users run Platformr evaluations and deployments from Claude, Kiro and Copilot
Users add the server to their agentic workspace and sign in with an existing Platformr account, with no new credentials or console. Through it, teams can list and switch between Platformr Organizations, run security evaluations and pull scored results in a single chat session. They can also discover resources with read-only access, map accounts to workloads and fetch detailed configurations on demand.
The server also covers deployment management. Users can review saved settings before deployment, check status, retrieve the failed stack and relevant error from build logs, and import an existing AWS Organization through a guided dialogue. Users can also ask the agent to turn evaluation results into dashboards, such as scores by organization and findings by workload.
Anyone can run a free AWS Organization evaluation without a Platformr subscription
Evaluation Platformr Organizations can be created directly from workspaces including Claude, Kiro, Copilot or a custom Strands agent. The MCP Server is available to all Platformr customers. Customers enable Tag Manager under Settings > Optics in the Platformr console, then run a guided deployment for their AWS Organization.
