Lawrenceville – November 03, 2026 -- REGAL Estate's QuickInsta TensionLock Cellular Shades install inside a window frame without screws, drilling, or separate mounting brackets, so homeowners and renters need nothing but their hands.
The shade uses a patent-pending tension-fit mechanism. You position it inside the frame and twist an adjustment knob until it clicks into place. To remove it, turn the knob counterclockwise to release the tension.
Reinforced rails and non-slip pads hold the shade in place
TensionLock pairs its installation system with reinforced aluminum headrails and bottom rails. Non-slip gripping pads are designed to hold the shade against compatible window frames without damaging them.
According to Bureau Veritas, a tested TensionLock sample completed 3,000 operating cycles without failure and remained suitable for its intended use. That count equals roughly eight years of operation at one cycle per day.
1.5-inch honeycomb fabric comes in two light-control options
The fabric is a 1.5-inch honeycomb cellular design with insulating air pockets that help reduce heat transfer through the window covering. Buyers can choose between two versions:
- Light Filtering: softens incoming daylight and provides daytime privacy.
- Blackout: blocks light through the material for greater darkness and privacy.
Operation is cordless, so there are no exposed operating cords. Product materials identify WCMA Best for Kids and PFWBS certification.
Only non-arched inside-mount windows with 1 3/4 inches of depth qualify
TensionLock is designed exclusively for inside mounting in compatible, non-arched window frames with a minimum mounting depth of 1 3/4 inches. REGAL Estate advises consumers to verify window dimensions and mounting conditions before buying.
It is one of three mounting approaches in the QuickInsta collection. MagMount is designed for compatible metal or steel doors, and PeelMount for compatible smooth surfaces on doors and windows.
CEO Andrew Yeh said the company aimed to make installation simpler while also attending to secure hold, durable construction, privacy, light control, and comfort.
