LeanTaaS Adds Vision AI to iQueue After LookDeep Health Acquisition

Santa Clara – November 03, 2026 -- LeanTaaS has acquired LookDeep Health and launched iQueue for Virtual Care, citing deployment results of more than 70% lower fall rates and an 80% reduction in medication errors from the acquired vision AI technology.

The launch is the first product under LeanTaaS' plan to build ambient intelligence into its iQueue capacity management, staffing and patient flow platform. The company introduced it at the Transform Executive Summit, held alongside Becker's CEO + CFO Roundtable.

LookDeep acquisition supplies peer-reviewed computer vision and an open platform

LookDeep contributes computer vision monitoring technology evaluated in peer-reviewed research published in Frontiers in Imaging, an open technology platform, and experience deploying virtual care in health systems. Narinder Singh, LookDeep's former CEO and co-founder, is now LeanTaaS' senior vice president of ambient intelligence. LeanTaaS did not disclose financial terms in the source material.

iQueue for Virtual Care bundles three offerings across enrolled patient rooms

The product combines three offerings, all driven by ambient intelligence:

  • Virtual Observation: continuous AI monitoring across enrolled rooms, with tools for observation teams to support more patients, engage and redirect them, and escalate to bedside staff.
  • Virtual Nursing: remote support for admissions, rounding, patient education and discharge preparation, prioritized by what is happening in each room.
  • Virtual Medicine: remote consultations with physicians and specialists, plus clinician insight into each patient between visits.

The system detects events such as a patient trying to stand unassisted or staying in bed for many hours. It then converts them into prioritized tasks within iQueue. LeanTaaS says this captures information the EHR and conventional systems may miss or receive much later.

Reported deployment results include 3x cost savings against virtual sitting

LeanTaaS cites results from LookDeep deployments across different operating models: fall rates down by more than 70%, twice as much nursing contact, and an 80% cut in medication errors. It also reports 3x cost savings compared with traditional virtual sitting solutions. The figures are company-reported and span varied deployments.

Hospitals can reuse existing cameras or deploy supported hardware

Health systems can build on compatible cameras and in-room devices already installed, or add supported hardware where needed. LeanTaaS says this preserves existing investments while extending coverage to more rooms.

CEO Mohan Giridharadas described computer vision as the next phase of iQueue becoming the "central nervous system of the hospital." LeanTaaS plans to extend ambient intelligence to additional iQueue products and workflows covering capacity, patient flow and care coordination. The company says nearly 200 health systems and more than 1,200 hospitals, centers and clinics use its software.
