PATEO Runs 35B-Parameter Doubao Model Locally on NVIDIA Thor AI Box

Shanghai – November 03, 2026 -- PATEO has secured a project nomination for a new-generation vehicle from a leading new energy vehicle automaker, with mass production expected in the second quarter of 2027, as it deploys NVIDIA Nemotron and ByteDance's 35-billion-parameter Doubao language model in its AI Box built on NVIDIA DRIVE AGX Thor.

At Auto China 2026 in Beijing, PATEO announced joint development of the solution with ByteDance and a leading new energy vehicle automaker. The AI Box pairs local inference with PATEO's AI Agent platform to handle multilingual interaction, read cabin context and coordinate vehicle functions.

PATEO integrates Nemotron 3.5 ASR and a Doubao mixture-of-experts model for offline inference

The in-vehicle model suite includes NVIDIA Nemotron 3.5 ASR for speech recognition and Doubao, a 35-billion-parameter mixture-of-experts model. It also contains text-to-speech synthesis and a 2-billion-parameter model for semantic classification and request rejection.

The suite runs inference locally without a cloud connection and supports real-time streaming speech recognition. Core AI functions stay available when connectivity is limited, while cloud updates extend capabilities.

AI Box adds compute to existing vehicles without replacing the main control chip

The AI Box gives vehicles whose processors cannot support larger models, concurrent multimodal interactions or proactive agents an upgrade path through added dedicated AI computing capacity. PATEO cites memory bandwidth, not only peak compute measured in TOPS, as a constraint, because the key-value cache grows as context accumulates across conversation turns and agent actions.

Within vehicle safety permissions, the AI Agent platform combines voice, visual and sensor inputs to invoke cabin controls and online services. Use cases include Sentinel AI alerts for parking violations, flooding and fire, and fatigue detection that prompts the driver to open a window or activate seat massage.

PATEO targets recurring revenue through Tokenomics and a June 2026 physical AI alliance

PATEO is using the AI Box to move from one-time hardware delivery toward ongoing AI services and operations. Its in-vehicle Tokenomics strategy targets recurring revenue from the deployment and use of AI capabilities.

In June 2026, PATEO partnered with Mininglamp Technology, Xunce Technology and Saimo Technology to develop a token-based physical AI world model and TokenOS. PATEO also reports a project nomination from a leading domestic robotics computing provider, opening a route to apply the platform beyond vehicles.
