Arlington, Virginia – November 03, 2026 -- Season 46 of Military Makeover with Montel premieres November 5 at 7:30 a.m. ET/PT on Lifetime. The season follows the full renovation of the Florida home of the Weatherholt family, with support from the Navy Mutual Aid Association, which is marking its tenth year of partnership with the show.
A firefighter paramedic who served twice overseas gets a home makeover
William "Billy" Weatherholt enlisted in the Air Force at 17, soon after the September 11, 2001 attacks. He hoped to serve as a firefighter and EMT. He deployed twice: to Kyrgyzstan in 2006 and to Qatar in 2009 in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He also volunteered for the Honor Guard, taking part in dignified transfers and funeral services for fallen servicemembers.
After leaving the military, Weatherholt faced PTSD, insomnia, anxiety and other service-connected conditions. He still serves his community as a Firefighter Paramedic and has been named Firefighter of the Year twice.
He lives in Florida with his wife, Autumn, an educator he has been with for nearly two decades, and their 14-year-old daughter, Tatumn.
Navy Mutual funds the master bedroom renovation
Commander Dave Babcock, USN (Ret.), Navy Mutual's Military Affairs Liaison, traveled to Jupiter, Florida, to thank the family in person. Babcock said the family had also worked on their own projects to improve the house before the renovation.
Navy Mutual paid for the master bedroom renovations. Babcock called a bedroom "a port in a storm," a place where you can feel completely safe. He compared that comfort to the lasting security life insurance gives people who have coverage in place.
Navy Mutual's episode airs twice, with streaming on YouTube
Navy Mutual appears in episode 2, which airs on November 12 and January 14 on Lifetime. All episodes can be watched on YouTube after they air on Lifetime.
