Bird-X Hires Orkin Commercial Veteran Doolittle as Sales Director

CHICAGO – November 02, 2026 -- Bird-X, Inc. has appointed Emanuel Doolittle, a sales leader with more than 16 years of experience, including 11 at Orkin Commercial, as Director of Sales and Business Development.

Doolittle will build industry partnerships and work to reach more pest control operators (PCOs), installers, distributors and end users with bird-control solutions. He most recently led branch growth at Groundworks.

Doolittle brings 11 years of Orkin Commercial sales leadership to Bird-X

At Orkin Commercial, Doolittle's last role was Regional Sales Manager for the Northeast Region. He led sales teams across multiple markets and developed the next generation of sales leaders.

As Sales Manager at Groundworks, he led the transformation of a newly acquired branch, which went on to earn Groundworks Branch of the Year. He holds certifications in Termite Biology and Control from Texas A&M University and in Integrated Pest Management from Purdue University.

Bird-X targets overlooked bird-control demand among pest control firms

Doolittle said bird control is often overlooked in pest management, and that many businesses with bird-related problems do not know which solutions exist. He plans to strengthen partnerships with pest control companies and expand into new markets. In his view, that also creates additional revenue opportunities for those companies.

Bird-X President and CEO Jeff Spencer said Doolittle saw the progress the team has made over the past five years: a broader range of solutions, stronger expertise and a deeper commitment to service and training.

Bird-X offers five technology categories and PCO-specific programs

The Bird-X portfolio spans physical barriers and visual deterrents, repellents, sound and bioacoustic systems, laser solutions, and electromagnetic field (EMF) technology. The company helps customers evaluate species, site, pressure and operating conditions before recommending an approach. It also offers consultations, product guidance and customized training.

For pest control professionals, the PCO Select program provides priority access to more than 50 professional-grade products and same-day shipping on qualifying orders. Bird-X also gives PCOs free consultations and customized training to help them develop bird-control services.

Spencer said the company's goal is to lead the next chapter of bird control worldwide. That includes improving products and using technology to make it easier for PCOs, installers, distributors and end users to select and apply the right solutions.

In his first year, Doolittle plans to focus on training, product awareness and new business opportunities, with the aim of showing progress in sales, partnerships and brand recognition.
