New York – November 02, 2026 -- Atlas Power Partners has added Boyland Electric, a Maryland generator dealer founded in 1990, as the third company in its residential generator and electrical services platform and its first in the Mid-Atlantic.
Boyland Electric extends Atlas beyond Florida into Maryland, Washington, D.C. and Virginia
Boyland is based in Laytonsville, Maryland, and serves homeowners and businesses in Maryland, Washington, D.C. and Virginia. Founder Doug Boyland remains President. The company is a Generac Premier Dealer and Kohler Dealer and provides 24/7 electrical service.
Doug Boyland said Atlas support on hiring, back-office systems and expansion will let the company grow faster. Co-owner Carole Boyland said employees gain room to advance, more training and the chance to teach other technicians Boyland's installation methods.
Atlas CEO David Fischer described the aim as building "a network of the best companies in our business."
Atlas platform installs more than 1,000 generators a year across three dealers
Formed in 2025, Atlas was co-founded by Danny Baker and Grant Perelman of Sherman Street Capital, which backs the platform. Its first Florida partner, Always On Generators, joined in 2025. Trademark Electric followed in 2026.
Always On is led by Co-Presidents William Hankins and Eric Patterson and serves Southwest Florida, where hurricane season makes backup power a necessity. Trademark Electric, based in Ocala and led by President Chris Shea, serves North Central Florida. Fischer called Trademark "by far the market leader in their area."
Atlas companies install more than 1,000 generators a year and service more than 20,000. All three offer Generac and Kohler generators, with installation and maintenance services.
Atlas targets high-pressure sales and inconsistent installs as it seeks more partners nationwide
Fischer said much of the backup power industry runs on high-pressure sales and inconsistent installations. Atlas intends to compete on honest pricing, correctly executed work and service that arrives during outages.
Atlas is actively seeking partnerships with leading residential generator and electrical services companies across the country.
