DURHAM – November 02, 2026 -- Edinburgh-headquartered Abbott Risk Consulting (ARC) Ltd. has joined ISASecure, the certification program that validates conformance to the ISA/IEC 62443 series of cybersecurity standards for industrial automation and control systems (IACS), the International Society of Automation (ISA) announced.

ARC adds four ISASecure assessment schemes to its OT cybersecurity consulting

ARC will provide operational technology (OT) cybersecurity consulting and assessments covering ISASecure's Security Development Lifecycle Assurance (SDLA), Component Security Assurance (CSA), System Security Assurance (SSA) and Automation Control System Security Assurance (ACSSA) schemes. The consultancy operates across the UK and Australia. Its service lines include risk management, functional safety, independent safety assessment, training and cybersecurity.

ARC targets clients designing, operating and decommissioning facilities, plants and assets in high-risk sectors: oil and gas, nuclear, defense, rail, mining and clean energy.

ISASecure program manager says ARC will attend the next IC49 ACSSA evaluator course

Mark DeAngelo, ISASecure program manager, said ARC will join the next IC49 ACSSA for Evaluators training course as a student. He said critical infrastructure demands "comprehensive, rigorously validated cybersecurity."

Tom Abbott, who leads ARC's Cyber Security team, said the firm is committed to upholding control system security standards and to influencing their future development.
