DPR Construction Names 27-Year Veteran Sass Raleigh-Durham Lead

Durham – November 02, 2026 -- DPR Construction has appointed Scott Sass, a 27-year company veteran, as business unit leader for Raleigh-Durham, one of its fastest-growing markets.

Sass takes over as Triangle construction employment climbs at one of the fastest rates nationally

Sass steps into the role during a period of significant growth in the Triangle region. Life sciences and healthcare are among DPR's strongest markets there, and both continue to drive demand for skilled construction talent.

Sass brings more than 25 years of operational, market and team leadership. His background centers on life sciences and other highly technical industries, which DPR says matches the region's rising demand for research, development and manufacturing facilities.

DPR's local client roster includes Genentech, Eli Lilly and Duke Health

DPR established its Raleigh-Durham presence in 2007. Its local portfolio spans life sciences, healthcare, higher education and advanced technology, with work for Genentech, Eli Lilly, United Therapeutics, Duke Health and Duke University.

Raleigh prefabrication facility anchors DPR's regional delivery model

Jay Stoda, DPR Southeast region co-leader, said the company's research and development and prefabrication assembly facility (PAF) in Raleigh gives teams and partners space to test ideas. He said it provides "more control over safety, quality and schedule" on projects.

Sass said the local team's strength lies in bringing customers, design and trade partners together early to align goals and manage risk. DPR reports prefabrication on more than 90% of its new work across the company.
