360 Advanced Assesses First CR26-Compliant FedRAMP 20x Class C Cloud

St. Petersburg – November 02, 2026 -- Perplexity Enterprise and API Platform has become the first cloud service offering to earn a fully CR26-compliant FedRAMP 20x Class C Certification, with 360 Advanced acting as independent assessor. FedRAMP confirmed the certification on October 28, 2026.

CR26 rules require assessors to validate security at a technical level

Under CR26, independent assessors must verify that security measures are implemented as documented and that they produce their intended outcomes. For the Perplexity engagement, 360 Advanced took three steps:

  • Assessed the Key Security Indicators within the minimum assessment scope
  • Evaluated the automated validation methods supporting each indicator
  • Reviewed machine-readable evidence
Class C Certification carries no expiration date but requires annual reassessment

The certification has no fixed expiration date. It remains in effect as long as the offering meets ongoing requirements, including an independent assessment at least once per year. 360 Advanced will support Perplexity through that annual cycle.

360 Advanced CEO Dan Collins credits Perplexity's engineering transparency

Collins, CEO and founder of 360 Advanced, said Perplexity approached FedRAMP 20x with the transparency and engineering discipline the new rules demand. He described the firm's model as "led by people, powered by AI."

The assessment is the first test of CR26's technical-level review requirements on a Class C offering, with machine-readable evidence and automated validation now part of the assessor's scope.
