Straelen – November 02, 2026 -- bofrost is offering a ready-prepared Christmas menu, from a €8.49 mushroom tart to a €45.99 pre-cooked goose breast, so hosts can spend more of the holiday at the table than at the stove.
The idea is to make hosting at home easier. Each dish arrives prepared and needs only a few steps to finish, with room for personal touches.
The starter is a €8.49 porcini tart that is ready to eat
The menu opens with the Steinpilz-Tarte (400 g, €8.49). It has a flaky butter pastry and a creamy filling of porcini mushrooms, cream cheese, egg and crème fraîche. The tart is ready to eat as it comes. Suggested upgrades include goat cheese with pear and honey, or caramelized leek rings with lamb's lettuce.
A pre-cooked goose breast carries the main course
The Gänsebrust (900 g, €45.99) comes already cooked, with seasoned meat and aromatic skin. Hosts finish it themselves, for example with an orange-honey crust. The classic sides are apple red cabbage (1 kg, €8.49, vegan) and potato dumplings (15 to 17 pieces, 1,200 g, €7.49, vegan), which can be pan-fried as dumpling wedges.
Dessert is a chocolate fondant with a raspberry core
The Choc' Fondant Himbeere (4 pieces, 360 g, €11.99) pairs chocolate batter with a liquid raspberry sauce center. The portions need only a short warm-up in the oven or microwave. bofrost suggests serving one on a mulled-wine sauce with caramelized nuts and Von Meisterhand Bourbon vanilla ice cream (1,500 ml, €9.99).
Two side dishes add variety for €5.99 and €9.99
The Kartoffel-Weihnacht (600 g, €5.99) is mashed potato shaped into bells, stars and Christmas trees, with a golden crust. The new Königin-Rösti Steinpilz-Frischkäse (7 to 9 pieces, 560 g, €9.99) are potato rösti pastries made from coarsely grated potatoes. They are filled with a porcini and cream cheese mixture. Both sides combine with the main course without much preparation.
