Dark Horse Cranes Secures $5.6 Million in Initial Contract Awards Across Permian Basin Energy and Data Center Markets

Rapidly Scaling Operator Commits Five Heavy Cranes Across Multiple Infrastructure Projects Within 90 Days of Launch

MIDLAND, Texas, Nov. 2, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Dark Horse Cranes LLC today announced it has secured its first major commercial contract awards, totaling $5.6 million in aggregate value. The agreements span three separate midstream energy developments across the Permian Basin and a multi-month structural engagement on a major data center campus. The contracts fully commit five heavy all-terrain cranes from the company's fleet for terms ranging from two to six months.

In the Permian Basin, Dark Horse crews are providing critical operated crane services to support compressor station and midstream infrastructure installations for a top-25 exploration and production (E&P) operator. Demonstrating the company's high-utilization capabilities, Dark Horse field crews are executing intensive 12-hour shifts across Midland, Martin, and Howard counties.

Simultaneously, Dark Horse has expanded its footprint into digital infrastructure, deploying two heavy all-terrain cranes to support structural steel erection, precast concrete placement, and heavy mechanical/electrical equipment setting for a major data center development. Per contractual confidentiality agreements, the client identity and exact facility location remain undisclosed.

"Securing high-tier data center infrastructure work and major Permian midstream contracts in the exact same quarter validates our business model," said Dakota Presley, VP of Operations for Dark Horse Cranes. "Both the traditional energy and digital infrastructure sectors demand heavy iron managed by elite, safety-certified crews. Dark Horse is engineered to deliver exactly that at scale."

To support this accelerating $5.6 million backlog and meet a growing pipeline of enterprise B2B demand, Dark Horse Cranes continues to execute its aggressive asset expansion strategy, adding three to four late-model heavy cranes to its Permian-based fleet every month.
