Cleveland – November 02, 2026 -- DistrictWON's uReport platform has been awarded the ISTE Seal, a validation program for high-quality educational technology, as more than 100 Portland DMA schools take part in a KOIN-led effort to cover every high school activity.

uReport is a digital platform that helps schools create and share stories about their students, teams, activities and communities. The KOIN-led initiative runs through KOIN's partnership with DistrictWON.

Expert panel assessed uReport against three ISTE principles

A panel of education and technology experts evaluated the platform. The review covered three principles:

• Alignment with the ISTE Standards: uReport was assessed against the ISTE Standards for educational technology.
• Practical usability: Reviewers examined user-friendliness and learning design, including how easily educators and students can navigate the features.
• Digital pedagogical implementation: Reviewers evaluated how uReport supports the effective use of digital technology in educational settings.

uReport gives educators and student contributors publishing tools

Educators, staff and authorized student contributors can create content and share it with their communities. DistrictWON says the platform gives students real-world training and experience in technology, journalism and media. It also provides the community with measurable outcomes through stories of activities and student achievements.

uReport CEO Peter Fitzpatrick called the ISTE Seal "the gold standard" that very few companies have achieved.
