WealthFeed Adds Form 5500 Data on 780,000 Retirement Plans

NEW YORK – – November 02, 2026 -- WealthFeed, an AI-powered growth platform for financial advisors, has added Form 5500 data covering more than 780,000 retirement plans, extending its prospecting tools from individuals and households to plan sponsors.

Advisors can search the plans and receive alerts when new filings show changes that may point to a business opportunity. Because the data sits inside the existing platform, advisors can run the same automated outreach they use for individual prospects.

The launch follows growing advisor interest in the 401(k) market. February 2026 research from FUSE Research Network found that 65% of surveyed advisors said converting retirement plan participants into wealth management clients was easier than acquiring clients through traditional marketing or referrals.

WealthFeed builds scored profiles for each plan from public filings

Employers file Form 5500 annually with the U.S. Department of Labor, reporting plan assets, participant counts, contributions and benefit payments. Larger plans also disclose certain service providers and their compensation. The filings are public, but advisors have often analyzed them separately from their individual-client prospecting tools, which makes plans harder to compare.

WealthFeed now creates a profile for each plan, including assets, participant counts and the person who signed the form. Each profile carries an opportunity score and a short explanation of why the plan may be worth pursuing. Advisors can filter by size, features and sponsor industry, and limit results to plans that filed within the last 30 or 90 days. Larger plans also support service provider and direct cost filters, and Schedule C filers show disclosed advisors and their compensation.

Twelve filing triggers flag plan growth, advisor exits and asset transfers

One trigger identifies plans in which participants with balances grew by 20% or more from the prior filing. On larger plans, another shows when an advisor listed on a prior filing no longer appears. Further triggers cover plan terminations and large transfers of plan assets to another plan.

WealthFeed also flags owner-heavy small plans with 25 or fewer participants and average balances of $300,000 or more. These may give advisors an opening to help business owners establish cash balance plans or address their personal wealth management needs.

Warm Introduction feature now covers plan decision makers

The Warm Introduction feature shows advisors which prospects they can reach through second-degree connections in their networks, and it now applies to plan decision makers. WealthFeed gives the example of an advisor who finds warm introductions to 25 plan decision makers in their market and launches automated outreach to that group from the Marketing Hub. The hub runs campaigns by email, LinkedIn, handwritten notes and postcards.

CEO and Co-Founder Sam Kendree said the filings give advisors insight into a business before they call, including whether plan participation has increased and who is paid to service the plan. He said the platform helps advisors prioritize plans that give them "a credible reason to call."

WealthFeed also supplies decision-maker contact information for the person who signed each plan's Form 5500.
