1stMILE Launches Zero-Capital EV Fast Charging for Tire and Repair Shops

REDMOND – November 02, 2026 -- 1stMILE, a financial experience platform for the automotive aftermarket, has launched 1stMILE EV Charging, a turnkey program that installs Level 3 fast chargers at multi-location tire dealers and independent repair shops with no upfront cost to the shop.

1stMILE absorbs hardware, permitting, installation and maintenance costs

The company covers all four cost items, so participating shops pay nothing up front. Shops instead earn a share of charging revenue, and that share grows as utilization grows.

Charging sessions give service teams 20 to 40 minutes with each driver

A typical session brings a vehicle to 80% charge in 20 to 40 minutes, depending on the vehicle. 1stMILE says that window lets service staff greet drivers and suggest routine work such as tires, brakes, cabin filters and battery checks.

Kyle Lindor, VP of EV Charging at 1stMILE, said most shops have not been able to offer a fast charge, so EV drivers rarely had a reason to discover their service business.

Program extends a platform already live at more than 17,000 locations

1stMILE's platform combines payments, financing, loyalty and vehicle protection at more than 17,000 automotive locations nationwide. EV charging adds a revenue stream outside the service bay, alongside the company's business financing for shops and their small business customers.

1stMILE debuts the program at SEMA in Las Vegas

The program debuts at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas at EV booth #24713 in Central Hall.
