LAS VEGAS – November 02, 2026 -- Allegiant (NASDAQ: ALGT) will roll out a two-day customer experience training program for flight attendants across its network, developed with the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) William F. Harrah College of Hospitality. The program starts in November and reaches all bases by Spring 2027.
Allegiant starts the UNLV rollout at East Coast bases
The initial deployment targets East Coast bases before expanding network-wide through Spring 2027. Training is delivered in person at flight attendant bases.
The curriculum covers hospitality best practices, emotional intelligence, communication strategies and the effect of customer interactions across the travel journey. UNLV hospitality experts built it around Allegiant's operation and customer experience goals. The aim is consistent service regardless of aircraft or route.
The partnership is the first of its kind between Allegiant and UNLV.
Allegiant ties crew investment to growth after Sun Country deal
Nani Binder, Allegiant's Vice President of Inflight, said investing in flight attendants remains one of the most important investments the airline can make as it grows. Tyler Hollingsworth, Chief Operating Officer, framed the program as a way for crews to apply fresh insights on board. Finley Cotrone, Professor and Director of UNLV's Sands Center for Professional Development, said the work with Allegiant's flight attendant training team would be instrumental in delivering the program.
The launch follows the completion of Allegiant's acquisition of Sun Country Airlines on May 13, 2026. Integration is ongoing. The combined airline operates a fleet of nearly 200 aircraft serving almost 175 cities. Across scheduled passenger, charter and cargo operations, Allegiant Air and Sun Country serve approximately 22 million customers annually on more than 650 routes in the United States and select international destinations.
