Bracco Convenes 14 Experts for Second Global CEUS Committee

Lombardy – November 02, 2026 -- Bracco held the second Global CEUS Steering Committee in Munich with 14 international experts in contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS), and the group will now meet every year.

The meeting took place alongside the EUROSON School. Participants included specialists from several clinical fields and regions, as well as representatives of Bracco Medical and R&D. The initiative began in China in 2025, when Bracco first assembled CEUS experts across specialties and geographies.

Super-resolution imaging, software and AI top the agenda

Discussions covered super-resolution imaging, new software applications and artificial intelligence. Experts examined possible diagnostic and potentially therapeutic uses of CEUS. They also looked at ways to optimize clinical workflows and at the healthcare and economic considerations that affect adoption.

Victor Jeannot, R&D Program Manager at Bracco, said that input from different disciplines can help identify the research questions that matter most and focus future investigation on areas with potential to advance the field.

Committee will meet annually and engage scientific societies

Bracco describes the committee as a durable, multidisciplinary network linking the international CEUS community with the company. Insights from the group are intended to point to areas for further research, evidence generation and innovation across CEUS applications. The committee will also support engagement with the wider scientific community, including scientific societies.

Antonella Filippone, Head of Medical Affairs & Scientific Information at Bracco, said the aim is to advance clinical adoption of CEUS and, where appropriate, support more patient-friendly diagnostic pathways through a non-invasive imaging approach.
