TORONTO – October 31, 2026 -- Profound Medical Corp. (NASDAQ: PROF; TSX: PRN) has signed a supply and distribution agreement with the iMRI Division of Cook Medical, adding a second U.S. capital equipment channel for its TULSA-PRO system while keeping recurring treatment kit and service revenue in-house.
Cook buys systems at a predetermined transfer price and resells them in the U.S.
Cook will purchase TULSA-PRO systems from Profound at a predetermined transfer price for U.S. distribution. Customers who buy through Cook will source single-use disposables and service contracts directly from Profound. The company therefore keeps the recurring revenue relationship on every system Cook places.
Profound's existing capital sales team will keep selling TULSA-PRO directly to sites with compatible MRI systems. The two channels target different buyers: hospitals using existing MRI infrastructure and those investing in new iMRI capabilities.
TULSA-PRO joins Cook's Copernicus program alongside the iMRI Suite
The system enters Cook's Copernicus program, which links the iMRI Suite with MRI-designed devices, clinical training, implementation support and partner therapies. Cook and Siemens Healthineers developed the iMRI Suite, an integrated environment for real-time MRI-guided interventions without ionizing radiation. Cook and Siemens Healthineers unveiled the suite at the Society of Interventional Radiology's 2026 Annual Scientific Meeting.
The arrangement lets Cook offer urologists and hospitals a turnkey prostate disease treatment package. Profound and Cook expect it to increase TULSA-PRO placements and expand the installed base of systems generating recurring revenue.
Profound CEO and Chairman Arun Menawat said the deal gives the company an opportunity to "bring TULSA to more institutions and build procedure volumes" as new sites establish and expand treatment programs. Pete Polverini, Vice President of Cook's Interventional MRI Division, said TULSA-PRO gives Copernicus hospitals an FDA-cleared, incision-free prostate therapy and that Cook aims to extend it over time to additional sites of care.
Cook deal runs alongside Profound's Siemens Healthineers co-sales agreement
The Cook agreement complements Profound's existing co-sales and co-marketing agreement with Siemens Healthineers. That agreement pairs TULSA-PRO with Siemens Healthineers' MAGNETOM Free.Max scanner as a total MRI-guided prostate therapy solution.
Profound is working with the U.S. FDA to obtain 510(k) clearance for TULSA-PRO use with the MAGNETOM Free.Max. TULSA-PRO is already FDA-cleared for multiple compatible 1.5T and 3T MRI systems. It is CE marked for use with the MAGNETOM Free.Max in Europe.
