Kuala Lumpur – October 31, 2026 -- ASEAN Records and ASIA Records have been certified to ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management System) by SGS, with the audit of their record application process finding no nonconformities.
Certificate runs three years under UKAS and DSM accreditation
The certification is valid from 30 September 2026 to 30 September 2029. It carries accreditation from UKAS (United Kingdom) and the Department of Standards Malaysia (DSM), under Certificate Nos. MY26/00000647 (UKAS) and MY26/00000648 (DSM).
SGS audit covered research, evidence verification and adjudication
The audit examined how both organisations research, verify and adjudicate every record application. Founders, directors and chief adjudicators Eldrick Koh and Gillian Ooi announced the result on 20 October 2026 at the 10th Gather of Achievers – ASEAN Records & ASIA Records Gala Night 2026, held at Hyatt Regency Kuala Lumpur at KL Midtown.
Koh said the companies invited an independent body to examine their work so that record holders, partners and the public have assurance in the certificates they hold. Ooi said independent certification means the standards are audited, not merely asserted: "A record is not something you buy. It is something you prove."
Two Malaysian verifiers have certified more than 530 records
ASEAN Records Sdn Bhd (202301047179) recognises verified achievements across Southeast Asia, while ASIA Records Sdn Bhd (202501049089) covers the Asian continent. Both are independent Malaysian record-verification companies founded and led by Koh and Ooi. To date, they have certified more than 530 records.
