SHENZHEN – – October 30, 2026 -- Three consumer devices fitted with TCL CSOT displays have been named to TIME's Best Inventions of 2026 list: the TCL X11L SQD-Mini LED TV, the XTEINK X4 Pro Pocket eReader and the Framework Laptop 13 Pro.
TCL X11L is the only Chinese TV in TIME's consumer electronics category
The X11L uses the TCL CSOT WHVA 2.0 Ultra Panel, which delivers a native contrast ratio of 7,000:1 and 100% BT.2020 color space coverage. The display pairs the TCL CSOT Ultra Color Filter with 20,736 Precise Dimming Zones and 10,000-nit peak HDR brightness. It is built on SQD-Mini LED technology.
TIME described the set as using "super quantum dot" technology that emits light at more specific nanometer wavelengths than earlier panels. The magazine said the result is color-accurate and bright.
XTEINK X4 Pro fits a 4.3-inch E Ink display into a pocket-sized reader
The X4 Pro uses reflective imaging technology and emits no blue light, which is designed to reduce eye fatigue during extended use. It has a capacitive touchscreen, adjustable warm-and-cool front lighting and an upgraded, higher-capacity battery.
TIME noted that the most popular e-readers are smaller than a hardcover but often still too large for grab-and-go use. It said XTEINK filled that gap with its X3 and X4 models.
Framework Laptop 13 Pro integrates a 180 g, 13.5-inch 2.8K touchscreen from TCL CSOT
The custom display module is 2.0 mm thick on the device side and 2.1 mm on the PCB side, and weighs 180 g. It supports the laptop's modular architecture. The updated model also adds a 74 Wh battery and a haptic trackpad.
Users can replace or upgrade components, from memory and keyboard options to ports, using an included screwdriver. Framework CEO Nirav Patel likened the machine to a bicycle, saying "Every part is easy to replace." TIME recognized the laptop for making high-performance computing more repairable and user-customizable.
TCL CSOT plans to extend multiple display technology pathways with industry partners
The company said the three selections reflect its end-to-end capabilities, from technology R&D to industry collaboration. TCL CSOT will continue to advance multiple display technology pathways and work with partners to expand applications across diverse scenarios.
