ATLANTA – October 30, 2026 -- JAS has earned a Platinum Medal in the 2026 EcoVadis sustainability assessment, placing the logistics and supply chain provider in the top 1% of companies rated by EcoVadis. Its overall score reached 89, up from 79 in 2025 and 60 in 2024.
JAS improves in all four EcoVadis categories
EcoVadis scores companies in four areas, and JAS raised its result in each:
- Environment: 95/100, up from 91
- Labor & Human Rights: 88/100, up from 74
- Ethics: 87/100, up from 83
- Sustainable Procurement: 86/100, up from 72
Labor and procurement scores post the largest gains
Labor & Human Rights rose 14 points and Sustainable Procurement rose 14 points, the biggest increases of the four categories. JAS attributes the gains to continued focus on employee health, safety and wellbeing, and to progress in responsible supply chain management.
Environment remains the strongest category at 95/100
EcoVadis recognized JAS's validated science-based targets, renewable electricity sourcing, energy-efficiency measures and expansion of lower-emission logistics solutions. JAS's greenhouse gas emissions are independently verified, which supports the credibility of its reported data.
JAS works with customers to measure transport-related emissions and reduce them through route and capacity optimization, lower-emission transport options and certified biofuel insetting.
Rating gives customers an independent risk view
For shippers, the rating offers an independent assessment of how JAS manages sustainability-related risks and responsibilities in their supply chains. Andrea Goeman, SVP Sustainability at JAS, said the result shows the approach is becoming part of daily work, while acknowledging that more work remains.
