TAIPEI – October 30, 2026 -- Hon Hai Technology Group (Foxconn) (TWSE: 2317) unveiled three new reference electric vehicles, lifting its EV range to 12 models and extending its contract design and manufacturing service (CDMS) offer into Japan's kei-class trucks.
The MODEL A+ SUV, MODEL K+ SUV and MODEL K compact truck target under-penetrated markets. Foxconn is pitching them as cost-competitive options built on flexible design platforms for automotive clients.
Jun Seki, Foxconn Chief Strategy Officer for EV, said the models join an ecosystem that is "accelerating time-to-market, time-to-cost and time-to-technology" for customers and partners.
MODEL A+ targets the fastest-growing B-segment SUV
The MODEL A+ is a luxury-styled SUV for affluent drivers and expands B2B product portfolios in the B-segment, which Foxconn describes as the fastest-growing SUV segment. It uses In-Wheel Motor technology and selectable EEA. Its interior is designed for flood emergencies, temporary living space and backup power for glamping and camping.
MODEL K+ offers B2B clients a customizable lifestyle SUV
The MODEL K+ is an affordable SUV aimed at younger buyers, with styling that draws on Japan's 1970s and 1980s city pop era. Foxconn targets companies building their own lifestyle SUV brands, as well as OEMs seeking distinctive, lower-cost vehicles. The In-Wheel Motor platform allows customization of exterior, interior, driving range and EEA.
MODEL K truck pitches lower TCO to fleets and municipalities
The MODEL K targets the commercial kei truck class for last-mile and mobility-service use. Foxconn says it supports compliance with environmental regulations and lowers total cost of ownership through reduced energy and maintenance costs. Buyers include decarbonization-focused entrepreneurs, municipalities and government agencies. The canopy-ready design takes cues from Foxconn's MODEL T electric bus and offers a lower bed height and longer bed length.
Hon Hai Tech Day 2026 showcases battery and powertrain stack
All three models were on display at Hon Hai Tech Day 2026 in Taipei, the debut stage for the Group's B2B electric vehicles. Exhibits also covered Taiwan-made battery development from materials to cells, packs and BMS, plus E/E architecture and powertrains for E2W and E3W vehicles.
A right-hand drive MODEL B showed the results of CDMS collaboration. Honda R&D and Mitsubishi Electric Mobility discussed their electromobility work with Foxconn in separate onstage remarks.
The existing lineup includes the MODEL T large bus, MODEL C passenger SUV, MODEL E luxury sedan, MODEL B crossover SUV, MODEL V truck, MODEL N cargo van, MODEL D LMUV, MODEL U midi-bus and MODEL A modular B-segment vehicle.
