Rochester, N.Y. -- AeroSafe Global will host a virtual Sustainability Symposium on November 10, 2026, to present closed-loop reuse systems for cold-chain packaging that it says can cut landfill waste by up to 95%.
Single academic medical center handles nearly 300,000 pounds of gel packs a year
The event targets single-use cold-chain packaging as a contributor to the healthcare waste stream. According to AeroSafe, one academic medical center can process nearly 300,000 pounds of single-use gel packs annually. The session will test whether circular delivery models and reverse logistics can remove that waste at source while keeping thermal integrity intact for critical therapies.
Reuse systems engineered for 70+ turn cycles face off against recycling claims
Cass McCrory, Executive Vice President of Channel & Commercial Strategy at AeroSafe Global, will host the two-hour session. Panels will compare downstream recycling with closed-loop reuse models built for more than 70 turn cycles. McCrory argued that recycling claims shift the burden onto clinics and patients, and said the industry must "engineer closed-loop systems that prioritize reuse from day one."
Hospital pharmacy teams, home infusion specialists and patients will describe what delivery reliability and packaging disposal mean at the point of care.
Advance data from the 2025 Impact Report goes to attendees before public release
The agenda includes a preview of the 2025 AeroSafe Global Impact Report, covering emissions, diversion and packaging lifecycle data. Registrants will also receive an advance digital copy of the report after the event.
The symposium runs from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Eastern Time as a live stream. Admission is free, and registrants can access the on-demand recording for 90 days. They will also receive session recordings and key takeaways.
