Hanwha Securities Taps Chainlink for Global RWA Tokenization Platform
Hanwha Securities Taps Chainlink for Global RWA Tokenization Platform

NEW YORK – October 30, 2026 -- Hanwha Investment & Securities, a financial affiliate of Fortune Global 500 company Hanwha, has adopted the Chainlink data standard and Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) as the official oracle and interoperability infrastructure for its global real-world asset (RWA) tokenization platform.

Chainlink supplies pricing and NAV data while CCIP moves assets across chains

Chainlink will provide pricing and net asset value (NAV) data for the assets the platform issues. CCIP will move those assets and their liquidity across public and private blockchains.

Assets can be issued on the chain best suited to their characteristics. A single integration gives them access to more investors and liquidity, with no custom build for each new network.

Joint working group targets compliance, collateral standards and Korea's tokenized securities market

The two firms are forming a joint working group with three work streams:

  • Institutional use cases for secure onchain execution that meet compliance and custody requirements.
  • Valuation and reserve verification methods, use cases and standards for using a wide range of RWAs as collateral.
  • Technology and compliance aligned with the institutionalization of tokenized securities in Korea.

Both firms plan to build the findings into standards that institutions can adopt. They also plan to widen participation through Chainlink's network of financial institutions and protocols.

Hanwha is in talks with global asset managers on RWA products

Hanwha Investment & Securities is in discussions with global asset managers and issuers on tokenizing and distributing a range of RWA products. It plans to bring these assets to institutional investors and onchain markets via Chainlink. Hanwha contributes quality assets from global asset managers, structuring expertise and institutional-grade market infrastructure.

Chainlink is providing dedicated technical support for the platform and priority access to new solutions.

South Korea introduces its tokenized securities framework in February 2027

The timing follows South Korea's planned introduction of a tokenized securities framework in February 2027. Hanwha Investment & Securities says it is preparing for both the Korean market and the global digital asset market. Its global digital asset business operates from Seoul and Abu Dhabi.

Insung An, Chief Digital Officer at Hanwha Investment & Securities, said the firm aims to tokenize quality assets that clients have found difficult to access. He said the assets would be issued, distributed and used as collateral across global markets. He described Chainlink as the key global strategic partner and said its standards sit at the core of the platform.

Johann Eid, Chief Business Officer at Chainlink Labs, said connecting assets across public and private blockchains unlocks access to users, markets and liquidity. He called the model "connect once and scale globally."
