CHARLOTTE – October 30, 2026 -- Wood Partners and Sarofim Realty Advisors will break ground in November on Village Park, a 372-unit multifamily community in Charlotte's Highland Creek and Prosperity Church area, with J.P. Morgan providing financing.
The project is slated to open in May 2028.
Village Park Sits Beside Wood Partners' Earlier Prosperity Village Development
The site is at the corner of Prosperity Church and Benfield Roads, next to Prosperity Village, a community Wood Partners previously developed. It has direct access to Interstate 485, which connects to Uptown Charlotte and Huntersville, and a Publix grocery store is next door.
"Building next to Prosperity Village allows us to keep investing in the neighborhood," said Carter Siegel, Regional Director of Development at Wood Partners.
Seven Residential Buildings Include Six Carriage Houses and a 5% Affordable Set-Aside
The community will have seven residential buildings and a standalone clubhouse and leasing center. The unit mix covers one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, plus six two-bedroom, two-bathroom carriage-house units.
Five percent of the homes will be reserved as affordable housing for households earning up to 80% of the area median income.
Clubhouse Adds Coworking Space and Private Offices
The clubhouse will house a fitness center, coworking spaces, private offices, a coffee bar and a clubroom. Outdoor amenities include a resort-style pool with cabanas, a dog park and dog spa, a fire pit and grilling areas.
A large park with a gazebo and seating anchors the site plan. A pond overlook, landscaped green space and new sidewalks will link residents to the surrounding neighborhood. Wood Partners is coordinating with Mecklenburg County and the Charlotte Department of Transportation on infrastructure improvements.
Third Prosperity Church Community Extends a 22-Project Charlotte Record
Village Park follows Alta Prosperity Village and the 238-unit Alta Croft, which opened in 2020. Wood Partners has developed more than 22 communities in the Charlotte region, including the 302-unit Alta 10th and Seigle in Plaza Midwood and the 252-unit Altera Mint Hill in east Charlotte.
