MADISON – October 29, 2026 -- First Choice Dental has expanded to 20 locations across southern and southeastern Wisconsin after Milwaukee Dental Partners (MDP), a three-practice group with more than 6,600 active patients, joined its network effective October 26, 2026.

Three practices in Washington and Ozaukee counties join the network

The practices are Oakbrook Dental in West Bend, Jackson Family Dentistry in Jackson and Sauk Trail Dental in Saukville. All three keep their current names, doctors, hygienists and team members, and continue to accept the same insurance plans.

MDP patients gain access to First Choice Dental's wider network of dentists and specialists. Services include orthodontics, periodontics, endodontics and oral surgery.

Deal opens First Choice's first locations north of Milwaukee

The partnership extends First Choice Dental's expansion beyond Dane County. It also marks the group's first locations in communities north of Milwaukee. First Choice Dental was founded in 1996 by three Madison-area dentists.

The group opened an office in Janesville in June, extending its reach to Rock County. A new Pewaukee office is scheduled to open in December 2026.

Clinical autonomy and operational support anchor the model

Kelly Thompson, President and Chief Operating Officer of First Choice Dental, said doctors make the clinical decisions while the company provides training, resources and operational support. She described that approach as the group's mission for 30 years.

MDP founder Dr. Pako Major, who started the group in 2019, said the partnership gives his team more opportunities for mentorship, continuing education and career growth. He added that it preserves "the relationships and personal attention our patients value."
