Miami – October 29, 2026 -- Maximo Wood is expanding its Dallas-Fort Worth availability through independent lumberyard Big D Lumber Company, which will stock Maximo Thermo Ayous at locations in Richardson, Haslet and Burleson.

Big D stocks two 1x6 tongue-and-groove Thermo Ayous profiles

Big D currently carries Maximo Thermo Ayous Smooth 1x6 tongue-and-groove boards with a reversible profile, plus Maximo Thermo Ayous Fluted 1x6 tongue-and-groove boards. Both target wall and ceiling cladding. Maximo says more products from its portfolio will follow.

Maximo also offers Thermo Ayous with built-in Burnblock fire-retardant, a WUI-compliant treatment designed to deliver consistent fire resistance throughout the board.

Partnership extends Maximo's Texas dealer footprint

The deal strengthens Maximo's distribution network in Texas and extends its reach across the Dallas-Fort Worth market. Garret Cockrell, President of Big D, said the product gives customers a high-performance option for interior and exterior projects.

Heat-and-steam process underpins a 20-year warranty

Maximo Thermo products use a thermal modification process that relies only on heat and steam to reduce the wood's sugar and moisture content. According to the company, this improves dimensional stability and produces an insect-resistant material that is easier to handle and install. Maximo backs the products with a 20-year warranty for interior and exterior use.
