Restaurant in Janesville to close its doors
MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - A popular restaurant in Janesville has announced it is closing its doors.
In a social media post, Rockin Rob’s explained they will be closing their dine-in, take-out and delivery services.
“Over the past year and a half, we have met so many people, shared and listened to so many different stories,” Rockin Rob’s said. “We’ve given away free kids meals every Monday for the past year. We’ve offered free meals to students who wouldn’t otherwise have been able to eat with their friends. It has been an absolute delight, and we are happy to have had those opportunities.”
The restaurant’s last day will be Thursday.
Rockin Rob’s cited the economy as a reason for closing.
“The rising cost of living has increased our food costs to unsustainable levels,” Rockin Rob’s said. “It has also made the economic situation very difficult for our customers. As a brick-and-mortar store fully supporting ourselves, we’ve been fighting an uphill battle all year.”
The restaurant is located at 1532 East Racine Street in Janesville.
Rockin Rob’s announced they will be continuing offering catering services.
