BELLEVUE ā October 28, 2026 -- Archera has closed a $15 million Series C round led by Pivot Investment Partners, lifting its total funding to $38.3 million as it expands insurance-backed guarantees on cloud and AI spending. The cloud economics company now manages roughly $5.6 billion in annual cloud and AI spend.
Existing investors including HighSage Ventures also participated. The capital will fund Archera's Guaranteed Commitments and its free cloud cost tools, including a FinOps Agent and MCP.
Archera has delivered more than $700 million in savings to over 2,200 organizations
Customers include PubNub, Art.com and Astronomer. Archera says it has operated profitably at scale.
The company backs its guarantee with a policy bought on a surplus lines basis from Crum & Forster Specialty Insurance Company. It will use part of the new funding to support larger guarantees and to upgrade the insurance policies behind them so it can serve larger global clients.
Guaranteed Commitments cover unused spend on terms as short as 30 days
Cloud providers typically reward one- to three-year commitments with discounts and capacity access. Archera argues that AI makes those commitments riskier. A new model launch can multiply GPU spending within months, while a more efficient model or an architecture shift can cut it just as fast.
Companies must therefore choose between overcommitting and carrying unused spend, or undercommitting and forgoing discounts. Archera's product offers resource-level cloud and AI discounts with terms as short as 30 days. If usage falls and a covered commitment goes unused, Archera pays the cost under the terms of its guarantee.
"Nobody can forecast AI demand, not the customer, not the cloud provider," said co-founder and CEO Aran Khanna, who described the offering as a new way to purchase cloud rather than another dashboard.

Archera analyzes actual usage and then recommends and automates purchases of both native commitments and its own Guaranteed Commitments. Commitments stay in the customer's own cloud account. Customers can evaluate potential savings before buying. Archera earns revenue when customers save through its guaranteed commitments.
PubNub's VP of Operations and Controller, James Hamilton, said the company now treats commitments as a spectrum of smaller purchases rather than a single one-time buy.
Pivot's Jetley cites capital-efficient growth and underwriting rigor
Dinkar Jetley, co-founder and managing partner at Pivot Investment Partners, called Archera a capital-efficient business at the intersection of cloud infrastructure and risk management. He said its underwriting approach supports a customer roster that is growing fast.
Archera plans to use the proceeds to accelerate go-to-market efforts, serve more teams running AI-driven workloads, and expand its global partner network across North America, Europe, the Middle East, Japan and Latin America.
