Volatus Opens 53,000-Sq-Ft Mirabel Plant for Drones and Autonomous Systems

MIRABEL – October 27, 2026 -- Volatus Aerospace Inc. (TSX: FLT) opened its 53,000-square-foot manufacturing and systems integration facility in Mirabel, Québec, expanding its Canadian production capacity for uncrewed and autonomous systems.

Drone docking station production is already running at the Mirabel site

The facility has been operational since earlier this year. Production of drone docking stations is underway. The site also supports integration and production of Volatus' V-Series aircraft and other autonomous systems.

Plant sits in the aerospace cluster around Montréal-Mirabel International Airport

The facility combines manufacturing, systems integration and technology advancement in one Canadian production environment. Volatus said the investment targets growing requirements across defence, public safety, industrial and commercial markets in Canada and allied countries.

Government, BDC and airport executives attended the ribbon-cutting

The ceremony included MP Carlos Leitão, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Industry, and MP Madeleine Chenette. Isabelle Hudon, President and CEO of BDC, Mirabel Mayor Roxanne Therrien and Yves Beauchamp, President and CEO of Aéroports de Montréal, also attended.

CEO Glen Lynch said the site gives Volatus "the infrastructure to expand production" and serve customers in Canada and allied markets. He tied the plant to sovereign capability, saying it requires the ability to manufacture, integrate, test and support technology in Canada. Lynch named Canada, NATO and allied markets as the targets for scaling production.
