Encanto Ride at Animal Kingdom Gets Its Name and No Height Limit

Walt Disney World – October 22, 2026 -- The Encanto attraction coming to Disney's Animal Kingdom is officially called Antonio's Fiesta de Encanto, and it will have no height requirement, so the whole family can ride. Disney revealed the name and new details at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, where Jared Bush, Chief Creative Officer of Disney Animation Studios and writer and director of Encanto, presented the project.

Antonio's gift day drives the story

Guests are invited to Casita to celebrate Antonio's new gift, the ability to communicate with animals. The attraction's message is that we are all part of the familia of living things, regardless of our special gifts or abilities.

Stephanie Beatriz, Jessica Darrow and Diane Guerrero return to voice Mirabel, Luisa and Isabella. Darrow called the film "a perfect film" for taking colors and excitement into a real-world experience.

Riders travel through Casita in living furniture

Imagineers built new parts of the Madrigal house that never appear in the film. Riders board a vehicle designed to represent pieces of furniture assembled by Casita's power. It reacts to the scenes around you like a character.

The route ends upstairs in Antonio's room, now a rainforest. More than 50 animals appear inside the attraction, and the preview showed a capybara getting a hair trim, a toucan and a donkey.

Walt Disney Imagineering worked with Disney's Animals, Science and Environment Team to make sure every animal is accurate to Colombia. Imagineer Joan Hartwig had earlier described a research trip to Colombia, where the team studied how colors, materials and structures interact with climate, terrain and culture.

A 22-figure carousel gets its name

The land's other headline ride for all ages is El Carrusel de los Animalitos. It features 22 hand-carved animal figures from Disney and Pixar stories, and some were displayed in the Walt Disney Imagineering pavilion on the show floor. New construction photos showed Tropical Americas taking shape.

Tropical Americas adds an Indiana Jones ride, a hacienda and a Maya play area

Tropical Americas, first announced at D23 in 2024, celebrates the myths and magic of the rainforest. A new Indiana Jones adventure, Indiana Jones and the Myth of the Jade Serpent, will also open there.

Final food and beverage plans are still in development. Guests can expect to eat at a large hacienda, which will be one of the largest quick-service restaurants on Walt Disney World Resort property. The land will also have souvenir shops and a Maya-inspired play area where young explorers can unearth artifacts through hands-on play.
