Linköping – October 15, 2026 -- Swedish authorities have approved Sectra's stationary Tiger/S phone for information at the SECRET security level, allowing authorities in Sweden to hold conference calls on highly classified matters between and within agencies.
Stationary Tiger/S adds point-to-point conference calling to the product family
The stationary phone is the newest product in the quantum-resilient Sectra Tiger/S family. The mobile version already holds approvals from national security authorities, the EU and NATO for use up to and including SECRET.
The mobile unit handles SECRET communication on the move, while the stationary version adds point-to-point conference calling. Both versions belong to the same system, so calls can be made between stationary and mobile units.
SECRET classification requires protection lasting at least 30-40 years
SECRET covers information whose unauthorized disclosure could harm national security. It must be communicated with approved security solutions that protect against unauthorized access. These solutions must also withstand future technological developments for at least 30-40 years.
Sectra says several people in one room can join SECRET calls with high audio quality
Magnus Skogberg, President of Sectra Communications, said the approval confirms the solution meets the highest security requirements and that civil and military defense can rely on it in critical environments. He noted that it is common for several people gathered in one room to need to join a call at the SECRET level. In his words, the phone is "an important part in strengthening our national security."
