Uniting industry leaders to build the digital standards and infrastructure needed for the future of drug development

DOVER, Del., Oct. 6, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- The Digital CMC Consortium today launched as a new industry collaboration uniting biopharmaceutical organizations, biotech firms, CDMOs, technology providers, and consulting experts around a singular goal: the end-to-end digitalization of Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls (CMC).

Established with participation from leaders at Novartis, Thermo Fisher Scientific, Takeda, Rockwell Automation, Flagship's Pioneering Medicines, Stellix, ZS Associates, and QbDVision, the Consortium's mission is to turn formerly static CMC knowledge into reusable, interoperable digital assets that improve speed, quality, and operational and regulatory confidence. To accelerate therapy development, the Consortium is integrating existing industry guidelines and building new standards to fill remaining gaps. Alongside this, the group is developing the tools and code needed to translate these standards into practical, digital-first workflows that organizations can adopt and use immediately.

"The pharmaceutical industry has already been successful in digitizing discovery and clinical trial workflows. Now we have the opportunity to bring that same level of transformation to CMC," said Consortium Chairman, and Chief Business Officer with QbDVision, Mike Stapleton. "Global supply chains and modern regulatory frameworks have grown increasingly complex. Through this collaboration, we can solve the interoperability challenge and build the structured, contextualized data foundation required for AI: ultimately, we will enable businesses to work together in the seamless, digital ways we expect in our everyday lives."

While pharmaceutical science advances rapidly, the CMC phase remains tethered to manual, document-based ways of working that treat PDF tables as the source of truth. Upgrading this legacy infrastructure removes a major bottleneck, accelerating the delivery of life-saving therapies to the patients who need them urgently.

"We've come together to cooperatively build the future of CMC and to encourage implementable, end-to-end digital standards that are ready now," said Achim Frauenschuh, Co-Chair of the Consortium, and Associate Director Science and Technology Drug Substance Development at Novartis. "By reducing duplicative efforts and drawing on expertise across the industry, the Consortium can facilitate immediate access to structured data models, standardized templates, and implementation guidance, helping them put standards into practice and directly achieve ROI."

After a successful first year, the Consortium, a 501(c)(6) not-for-profit, is moving from proof of concept to industry-scale adoption, beginning with frictionless tech transfer between sponsors and CDMOs. While this immediate focus solves ecosystem and internal operational challenges, the ultimate goal is to connect the dots across the entire CMC lifecycle including digital twins, knowledge management, automated content authoring, and artificial intelligence. By growing as a collaborative group, the Consortium will serve as a coordinated industry forum for technical engagement with health authorities, providing robust standards that work for both internal operations as well as regulatory submissions. With work on digital tech transfer and an interoperable exchange of standardized technical data and artifacts currently underway, companies that join the Consortium today will shape the industry's standards for the next decade and benefit the entire ecosystem.

Robo.ai Reports September Revenue Exceeding US$100 Million and Expects Approximately US$600 Million for Full Year 2026

Integration progresses alongside milestones in AI and advanced manufacturing

DUBAI, UAE, Oct. 6, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Robo.ai Inc. (Nasdaq: AIIO) ("Robo.ai" or the "Company") today provided a business update and its full-year 2026 revenue outlook. Total revenue for September exceeded US$100 million, primarily contributed by Quantum Core Capital Limited ("QC Capital"). The September revenue information is preliminary and unaudited, has not been reviewed by the Company's independent registered public accounting firm, and may be adjusted through financial closing and review procedures. Based on year-to-date performance, the Company currently expects total revenue of approximately US$600 million for full year 2026.

As acquisition integration progresses, Robo.ai is strengthening its revenue base and expanding its AI and advanced manufacturing businesses. QC Capital continues to operate steadily and contribute revenue, while Neurovia AI is advancing its technology and applications. ALIF Holding's Phase I industrial park groundbreaking in Umm Al Quwain marks progress toward building local manufacturing and systems integration capabilities in the UAE.

QC Capital Revenue Contributions Support Full Year Outlook

As previously disclosed, QC Capital's operating businesses provide operational management and delivery services to enterprise customers, charging for completed delivery orders accepted by customers. Since its acquisition on June 15, 2026, QC Capital has maintained stable operations and service delivery while consistently contributing revenue. The Company believes this performance reflects smooth integration and provides a foundation for further development.

Supported by current business performance, Robo.ai expects approximately US$600 million in total revenue for full year 2026 and remains focused on integration and disciplined operations. Revenue alone does not establish the Company's profitability or operating cash flow position.

Strengthening AI Capabilities and Advancing New Initiatives

Through Neurovia AI, Robo.ai is advancing its AI data processing and compression technology initiatives, with applications and business development focused on public safety, transportation, energy and municipal services.

QC Capital is also developing AI-generated video and content production capabilities. This initiative remains at an early stage of development and represents a new direction for the Group's AI applications.

ALIF Holding Milestones Advance Local Industrial Capabilities

On September 25, 2026, ALIF Holding held a groundbreaking ceremony for Phase I of its Group Industrial Park in Umm Al Quwain, UAE, marking an important step in the Group's advanced manufacturing strategy. Phase I is planned to refurbish existing factory premises with a designed gross floor area of approximately 8,845 square meters to support local manufacturing, equipment integration and software systems integration.

The Industrial Park is planned in three phases, aligning near-term projects with future capacity expansion. The proposed Alif Maritec is expected to be the first project to occupy Phase I. Its planned portfolio covers marine oil spill emergency response, land border security, and AI-enabled defense and intelligent monitoring for critical infrastructure. The proposed solutions would combine equipment, sensor data and AI analytics to serve government, critical infrastructure and industrial customers.

With the groundbreaking and increasingly defined project plans, ALIF Holding is connecting the Group's advanced manufacturing strategy with engineering capabilities and customer needs, laying an industrial foundation for long-term development.

Disciplined Execution Supports Strategic Transformation

"Our strategic transformation is progressing steadily," said Benjamin Zhai, Chief Executive Officer of Robo.ai. "QC Capital continues to contribute revenue, Neurovia AI is advancing its technology and applications, and ALIF Holding is building local manufacturing and delivery capabilities through its industrial park and project initiatives. We believe our existing cash, cash equivalents, and short-term investments will be sufficient to fund our current business operations and capital expenditure requirements for at least the next 18 to 24 months based on our current operational plan. We are confident in our direction and focused on practical execution to strengthen our operating foundation, bring technology and industry together, and create long-term shareholder value."

Robo.ai will continue to advance business integration, AI applications and local industrial capabilities, strengthening its existing businesses while developing opportunities for long-term growth.

Unit4 to Acquire Napta and Accelerate Skills-Based Resource Management for Professional & Business Services Firms

Acquisition supports Unit4's vision for growth through investment in its key verticals and Napta's goal to become Europe's champion for resource management

LONDON and PARIS, Oct. 6, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Unit4, a leading provider of enterprise cloud applications for service-centric organisations, has announced it is acquiring Napta, the Paris-based resource management and skills-intelligence platform for professional and business services firms. Napta will continue to operate under its existing leadership, brand and open ecosystem model, serving both existing and new customers including many of the world's leading consulting, audit, IT and engineering firms. The acquisition is aligned with Unit4's growth strategy and its continued focus on serving key verticals, including professional and business services, public services, non-profit, and education, while increased investment in the roadmap and Unit4's global reach will support Napta's ambition to grow rapidly and become the trusted European leader in the resource management category.

Together the companies will cover the full professional services lifecycle helping customers win the right projects, and efficiently staff and run them. Unit4 and Napta already share a number of customers who run the platforms side by side. The combined offering will give customers an integrated view of skills, capacity, projects and financials, backed by Unit4's investment and global reach. For Unit4 customers and prospects, Napta brings best-in-class resource management and skills intelligence alongside Unit4's ERP, FP&A and HCM solutions. Napta is a category leader combining skills intelligence, staffing and capacity planning with AI-assisted matching, which is critical for professional services firms as they rely on placing the right people with the right skills on projects at the right time.

Napta has grown rapidly from its headquarters in France to serve a loyal and growing customer base in 70 countries around the world. Following the acquisition, Napta will continue to be led by co-founder and CEO Arnaud Caldichoury, with all three co-founders remaining with the business. The companies plan to connect Napta's skills and resource capacity data with Unit4's project, financial and people data, so that firms can plan projects and staff them with the right skills, while seeing the financial impact in one connected flow. Additionally, Napta and Unit4 will continue to invest in integrations with all the major ERP, PSA and HCM platforms for customers running any ERP or PSA suite.

"The future of professional services organisations is people-first and skills-based, and Napta is the best in the market at putting the right people on the right work," said Simon Paris, CEO, Unit4. "We have ambitious goals to grow Unit4, and the professional services industry is the largest and fastest growing market among our key verticals making it the logical choice for a strategic acquisition. Today's announcement is a clear signal of intent to provide our customers with best-in-class products that will help them deliver more value to their clients. It is why we are acquiring Napta, as a fast-growing business, loved by its customers, built for exactly the firms we serve, and expanding in the markets where we are focused."

"We built Napta to become the European reference in resource management and skills intelligence, and joining Unit4 is how we get there faster," said Arnaud Caldichoury, co-founder and CEO, Napta. "We chose Unit4 because they share our conviction that professional services is a people business, and because they are committed to investing in what makes Napta successful. For our customers, nothing changes except what gets better: more investment in the product, the same team and the same flexible and customer-oriented approach. Together, we'll keep raising the bar on resource management and skills intelligence and supporting our clients wherever they operate."

Unit4 has laid out ambitious plans to grow the company through deeper penetration of its core verticals in professional and business services organisations, public service, nonprofit, and education, alongside innovation in AI tools and an accelerated migration of customers to its cloud-native ERPx platform. Acquisition is one pillar of Unit4's growth strategy, and Napta's rapid customer growth confirms the opportunity: professional and business services firms want less time spent managing resourcing and more billable, delivered work, improving utilisation and margin before committing budget. Unit4 is confident that as customers see these outcomes, demand for its products and services will follow. Alongside initiatives such as "AI for Your World" which provides customers commitment-free access to Unit4's AI capabilities until August 2027, if customers register by December 31st 2026, Unit4 believes this strategy will stimulate increased demand for its products and services.

Marianne's Avocado Oils Land in Target Stores Nationwide
Image File

Marianne's brings its Regenerative Organic Certified® and Organic Avocado Oils to Target, the only Seed Oil Free Certified® avocado oils on shelves

SACRAMENTO, Calif., Oct. 6, 2026/PRNewswire/ -- Marianne's, the premium pantry brand UC Davis used at the benchmark for 100% purity, is bringing its most rigorously verified oils to one of America's biggest retailers. The brand's Regenerative Organic Certified® (ROC®) Avocado Oil and Organic Avocado Oil are now rolling into more than 800 Target stores nationwide this fall. The launch marks another milestone in Marianne's fast national climb, coming less than a year after its launch into broader retail.

The timing is no accident. A category once taken at face value is now under a microscope: a recent 2026 UC Davis research study found that the majority of products labeled "made with 100% pure avocado oil" were actually adulterated with cheaper oils. Marianne's was named the benchmark for purity in the 2026 study, and it was the oil that every other brand was measured against. That verified purity is exactly what the Target shopper is looking for on the shelf.

Both Regenerative Organic Certified® Avocado Oil and Organic Avocado Oil certifications mean something specific, and Marianne's holds itself to the highest standards. Organic certification requires that avocados are grown without synthetic pesticides or fertilizers. Regenerative Organic Certified® goes further, building on that organic foundation with the highest standards in farming today: rebuilding soil health, protecting biodiversity, and ensuring fair treatment and livelihoods for the people who grow the crop. It is one of the most rigorous, independently verified standards a food product can carry.

For Marianne's, those standards are backed by proof, not just labels. Every load of oil brought in from trusted farmers is third-party tested for purity against all three CODEX markers - fatty acid profile, sterols and tocopherols and is the only Seed Oil Free Certified® avocado oil on shelves, so what the bottle claims is exactly what is inside. With a neutral flavor and a smoke point up to 500°F, they are built for everything from high-heat searing and roasting to baking and everyday cooking.

That commitment starts at the source. Marianne's follows the avocado harvest around the world throughout the year to ensure the freshest possible oil, and its Regenerative Organic Certified® avocados are processed at a women-led facility in East Africa.

"What's in the bottle should be exactly what's on the label. That sounds simple, but in this category it's rare," said Marianne Adams, namesake of Marianne's. "When independent scientists use your oil as the definition of pure, it proves we mean it. Bringing our Regenerative Organic Certified® and Organic Avocado Oils to Target puts that proven purity within reach of families across the country, and gives shoppers an avocado oil they can finally trust."

The expansion reflects Target's continued investment in emerging food brands that pair premium quality with ingredient transparency. Marianne's was selected for the retailer's Takeoff program, which spotlights high-growth emerging brands, reinforcing its position among a new generation of pantry staples raising the standard on everyday shelves.

The Target rollout builds on a fast-expanding retail footprint that includes Amazon, Sprouts, H-E-B, Fresh Thyme, Hy-Vee, Erewhon, Costco, and regional grocers nationwide. Rooted in five generations of family ingredient expertise, Marianne's continues to deliver cooking oils that are responsibly sourced, rigorously tested, and made without compromise.

Betsson Group: Odds Favourites for the 2026 Nobel Prize in Literature

TA'XBIEX, Malta, Oct. 6, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- On Thursday, 8 October, the Nobel Prize in Literature will be announced by the Swedish Academy. At Swedish-founded global betting company Betsson, which has offered odds on the prize for more than a decade, Chinese author Can Xue is currently the favourite, followed by Anne Carson and Gerald Murnane.

This year's list features around 40 authors from across the globe, many of whom have appeared regularly in Nobel discussions over the years. Notably, Asian literature is particularly well represented, with writers such as Can Xue and Amitav Ghosh among the strongest contenders.

Can Xue, widely regarded as China's leading experimental writer, has long been mentioned as a potential Nobel laureate and was the odds favourite in 2023. The author is currently priced at 5.00, followed by Canadian poet Anne Carson at 7.00 and Australian novelist Gerald Murnane at 8.00.

"A recurring pattern is that authors who attract strong support from both literary experts and bettors often remain leading contenders year after year. Can Xue, Anne Carson and Gerald Murnane all fit that pattern. More commercially prominent literary stars, by contrast, can generate significant buzz and climb into the top five, only to fall back in the rankings the following year," said Robin Olenius, Head of PR at Betsson.

In recent years, Nobel winners have often been found among Betsson's leading candidates. Last year's winner, László Krasznahorkai, had the second-lowest odds before the announcement. Jon Fosse was also ranked second among the favourites before receiving the prize, while Annie Ernaux was the third favourite in the year she won. Louise Glück was likewise among the leading contenders before winning in 2020.

"As Betsson has become increasingly international, we are seeing betting activity and literary interest from a broader range of markets around the world compared with earlier years," said Robin Olenius, Head of PR at Betsson.

However, the Nobel Prize also has a history of producing surprises. Bob Dylan and Han Kang were not among the top favourites, while perhaps the biggest surprise in recent years was Abdulrazak Gurnah, who was not even included in the betting market.

Ontinue Expands External Threat Visibility with ION for Dark Web Monitoring

New Add-On Service Extends ION MXDR Beyond the Enterprise Perimeter to Identify Exposed Credentials, Brand Impersonation, and Emerging Risks Before They Become Security Incidents

ZURICH, Switzerland, Oct. 6, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Ontinue, a leading MXDR partner providing nonstop managed security operations through its Agentic SOC, today announced the launch of ION for Dark Web Monitoring (DWM), a new managed add-on service that extends ION MXDR to continuously identify exposed credentials, detect brand impersonation attempts, and uncover emerging external threats before attackers can exploit them.

Compromised credentials are traded across criminal forums, lookalike domains are created to impersonate trusted brands, and sensitive information can surface across deep and dark web sources long before security teams become aware of the exposure. Exposed credentials can show up on the dark web within 24 hours. Yet reports have shown that only 19% of organizations continuously monitor for that exposure and automatically remediate it. Most organizations lack the visibility, expertise, and operational processes needed to identify and respond to these risks before they lead to compromise.

ION for Dark Web Monitoring addresses this challenge by combining continuous monitoring across curated threat intelligence sources with the same investigation, automation, and response capabilities that power Ontinue's managed security operations service. Rather than simply generating alerts, ION for DWM operationalizes external threat intelligence, transforming exposures into investigated incidents and actionable security outcomes.

"The security perimeter no longer ends at the edge of the enterprise," said Moritz Mann, CEO of Ontinue. "Organizations need visibility into the threats that exist beyond their environment, whether that's stolen credentials being offered for sale, new brand impersonation campaigns, or emerging signs of attacker activity. Most dark web monitoring solutions stop at detection. ION for Dark Web Monitoring goes further by investigating findings, assessing risk, and helping customers take action before exposures become incidents."

Turning External Threat Intelligence into Action

ION for Dark Web Monitoring continuously monitors customer-owned domains and brand assets across trusted intelligence sources spanning the clear, deep, and dark web. Findings are validated, enriched, and operationalized through the ION SecOps Platform, enabling customers to leverage the same Cyber Defense Center analysts, automation workflows, and response capabilities already protecting their environments 24/7.

Key capabilities include:

- Continuous Monitoring for Exposed Credentials: ION for DWM continuously identifies credentials associated with customer domains that may have been exposed through breaches, criminal marketplaces, or other external sources, helping organizations reduce the likelihood of account compromise and unauthorized access.

- Detection of Typosquatting and Brand Impersonation: The service detects suspicious domains designed to mimic trusted brands and assesses their potential risk, enabling organizations to identify and disrupt phishing, fraud, and impersonation campaigns earlier.

- Integrated Investigation and Response: Unlike traditional monitoring tools that generate raw alerts, ION for DWM validates findings, assesses relevance and severity, and operationalizes them through ION MXDR workflows. Approved response actions can be executed automatically or with customer oversight based on predefined rules of engagement.

- Unified Security Operations: External exposures flow directly into Microsoft Sentinel and the ION SecOps Platform, where they are investigated alongside other security signals using the same automation, detection, and response processes that support Ontinue's Agentic SOC.

"ION for Dark Web Monitoring expands our visibility beyond our existing tools, giving us better insight into external risks and bringing validated findings into the managed security operations we already trust," said Jason Burzenski, Vice President, Global Head of Cyber Security at Epiq.

A Managed Approach to Reducing Exposure Risk

Many organizations receive threat intelligence feeds and dark web monitoring alerts but lack the resources to investigate findings, determine relevance, or coordinate response actions. As a result, exposures often remain unresolved until attackers take advantage of them.

ION for Dark Web Monitoring was designed to close that gap by providing a managed service experience rather than another security dashboard. Every finding benefits from expert review, contextual analysis, and operational response, helping security teams focus on reducing risk rather than managing alerts.

"Dark web monitoring has moved from a nice-to-have add-on to a meaningful component of a mature MDR program. Adversaries do not operate in isolation from the organizations they target. Credential exposure, ransomware leak staging, and brand impersonation activity on dark web forums often precede or accompany active intrusions. IDC's research shows that roughly one in three MDR customers globally still lack dark web monitoring as part of their service, which represents a significant visibility gap at a time when pre-compromise intelligence is increasingly what separates early detection from late discovery. Providers that integrate dark web monitoring with analyst-triaged intelligence and actionable takedown capability, rather than delivering raw feed data, are closing that gap in a way that directly improves security outcomes for their customers." Yogesh Shivhare, Sr. Research Manager, Security and Trust at IDC.

Built for Microsoft-Centric Security Operations

Built for Ontinue's Microsoft-first security operations model, ION for Dark Web Monitoring helps organizations extend visibility beyond their environment without adding another technology platform. Findings, investigations, and response activities become part of a unified security operations workflow, reducing operational complexity while strengthening overall resilience.

ION for Dark Web Monitoring is available immediately as an add-on service for ION MXDR customers.

Worldwide Telecom Capex Rises 5 Percent in 1H26, According to Dell'Oro Group

Longer-Term Capex Outlook Remains Muted as Investment Shifts from Coverage to Capacity

REDWOOD CITY, Calif., Oct. 6, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- According to a recently published report from Dell'Oro Group, a trusted source for market information on the telecommunications, security, networks, and data center industries, worldwide telecom capex increased about 5 percent year-over-year (Y/Y) in the first half of 2026. The stronger-than-expected start to the year follows several years of declining investment and marks an improvement relative to expectations at the beginning of 2026.

Telecom equipment trends remain closely aligned with capex. Aggregate manufacturer revenues across the six telecom equipment programs tracked by Dell'Oro Group—Broadband Access, Microwave & Optical Transport, Mobile Core Network (MCN), Radio Access Network (RAN), and High End Router & Aggregation—also increased approximately 5 percent Y/Y in 1H26.

"The first half was stronger than we expected, but the improving near-term trajectory does not materially change the longer-term capex story," said Stefan Pongratz, Vice President at Dell'Oro Group. "Operators are in a stronger capacity position following the 5G and fiber investment cycles, and the focus is gradually shifting from coverage toward capacity, modernization, automation, and efficiency. At the same time, improving operator revenues are helping to reduce capital intensity ratios even as network investments remain flat."

Additional highlights from the September 2026 Telecom Capex report:

- Despite the stronger start to 2026, Dell'Oro Group made only negligible revisions to its longer-term forecast. Worldwide telecom capex is projected to grow at a 0 to 1 percent CAGR between 2025 and 2030, reflecting a more mature investment environment following the major 5G and fiber coverage cycles.

- Capital intensity, which peaked at 18 percent in 2022, is projected to decline to around 14 percent in 2028, before increasing modestly as early 6G investment emerges.

- Telecom equipment revenues are projected to grow at a 2 to 3 percent CAGR between 2025 and 2030, outpacing CSP capex, partly reflecting incremental demand from cloud providers.
