SciBase resolves on a set-off issue of shares to the guarantor in connection with the completed rights issue

STOCKHOLM, Oct. 7, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- SciBase Holding AB (publ) ("SciBase" or the "Company") has today, on 7 October 2026, resolved on a set-off issue of 60,000 shares to Bergs Securities AB ("Bergs Securities") in its capacity as guarantor in the Company's recently completed rights issue of shares (the "Rights Issue"), for part of the guarantee compensation, in accordance with the terms of the guarantee commitment announced on 3 September 2026 (the "Compensation Issue"). The resolution by the Board of Directors has been made pursuant to the authorisation granted by the Annual General Meeting on 19 May 2026. The subscription price amounts to SEK 15 per share, corresponding to the subscription price in the Rights Issue, and payment for the shares has been made by way of set-off against the part of Bergs Securities' claim, amounting to SEK 0.9 million, for guarantee compensation that they elected to receive in the form of new shares. All shares in the Compensation Issue have been subscribed for and allotted.

NOT FOR RELEASE, DISTRIBUTION OR PUBLICATION, WHETHER DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, IN OR INTO THE UNITED STATES, AUSTRALIA, BELARUS, CANADA, HONG KONG, JAPAN, NEW ZEALAND, RUSSIA, SINGAPORE, SOUTH AFRICA, SOUTH KOREA OR ANY OTHER JURISDICTION IN WHICH SUCH DISTRIBUTION WOULD REQUIRE ADDITIONAL PROSPECTUSES, REGISTRATION OR OTHER MEASURES BEYOND THOSE REQUIRED UNDER SWEDISH LAW, IS PROHIBITED OR WOULD OTHERWISE BE CONTRARY TO APPLICABLE RULES IN SUCH JURISDICTION, OR CANNOT BE MADE WITHOUT THE APPLICATION OF AN EXEMPTION FROM SUCH MEASURES. SEE THE SECTION "IMPORTANT INFORMATION" AT THE END OF THIS PRESS RELEASE FOR FURTHER INFORMATION.

Background

On 3 September 2026, the Board of Directors of SciBase resolved on the Rights Issue, the outcome of which was announced on 1 October 2026. In connection with the Rights Issue, Bergs Securities provided a guarantee commitment of approximately SEK 24.2 million. For the guarantee commitment, guarantee compensation is payable amounting to 10 percent of the guaranteed amount in cash or, alternatively, 12 percent of the guaranteed amount in newly issued shares in the Company at a subscription price corresponding to the subscription price in the Rights Issue. The guarantee compensation shall, according to the guarantee agreement, be paid in full or in part in either form.

Bergs Securities has notified the Company that it wishes to receive part of the guarantee compensation, totalling SEK 0.9 million, in the form of newly issued shares.

The Compensation Issue

In order to fulfil the Company's contractual obligation towards the guarantor, the Board of Directors has today, pursuant to the authorisation granted by the Annual General Meeting on 19 May 2026, resolved on the Compensation Issue. The subscription price amounts to SEK 15 per share, which corresponds to the subscription price in the Rights Issue. Payment for the shares is made by way of set-off against part of Bergs Securities' claim for guarantee compensation of SEK 0.9 million. All shares in the Compensation Issue have been subscribed for and allotted.

Reasons for the deviation from the shareholders' preferential rights

The reason for the deviation from the shareholders' preferential rights is to fulfil the Company's obligation towards Bergs Securities under the guarantee agreement entered into in connection with the Rights Issue. The Board of Directors considers it to be in the interest of the Company and its shareholders that part of the guarantee compensation is paid in the form of newly issued shares rather than in cash, as the Company thereby retains cash that can be used in its operations. The terms of the guarantee compensation, including the possibility to receive the compensation in newly issued shares and the maximum number of shares that could be issued, were announced in connection with the resolution on the Rights Issue on 3 September 2026.

The subscription price in the Compensation Issue was determined through arm's length negotiations between the Company and Bergs Securities when the letter of intent regarding the guarantee commitment was entered into, and corresponds to the subscription price in the Rights Issue. Against this background, the Board of Directors considers the subscription price to be on market terms.

Number of shares, share capital and dilution

Through the Compensation Issue, the number of shares in SciBase increases by 60,000 shares, from 14,059,787 shares to 14,119,787 shares, and the share capital increases by SEK 300,000, from SEK 70,298,935 to SEK 70,598,935, calculated following registration of the Rights Issue with the Swedish Companies Registration Office. The Compensation Issue entails a dilution of approximately 0.4 percent of the number of shares and votes in the Company.

Advisers

SciBase has engaged Bergs Securities and Birchtree Advisory as financial advisers and BAHR as legal adviser in connection with the Rights Issue. Bergs Securities is also acting as issuing agent in connection with the Rights Issue.

New open framework drives industry-wide alignment on SBOM practices in light of increasing regulatory and cybersecurity requirements within automotive ecosystem

PRAGUE, Oct. 7, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Open Source Summit Europe – The Linux Foundation, the nonprofit organization enabling mass innovation through open source, today announced the release of the OpenChain Automotive Software Bill of Materials (SBOM) Framework 1.0, an open framework that defines a common approach for creating and sharing high-quality SBOMs tailored to the automotive industry.

As software becomes increasingly critical to modern vehicles, organizations are under growing pressure to improve visibility into software components and dependencies while meeting evolving regulatory and cybersecurity requirements. The OpenChain Automotive SBOM Framework provides a practical baseline that can be adopted and refined across the industry in order to meet these challenges facing the automotive industry.

Key elements of the framework include:

- A defined structure for describing software components and dependencies in Automotive SBOMs

- Guidance on required and recommended data fields, including completeness and quality criteria

- Alignment with existing SBOM standards such as SPDX (ISO/IEC 5962)

- Usage scenarios for suppliers and OEMs, including data exchange across the automotive supply chain

The framework provides guidance on how software component information should be described and exchanged using established formats, enabling suppliers and OEMs to produce SBOMs that meet shared expectations for completeness, consistency, and usability. It is designed to support practical use cases including software transparency, supply chain communication, and regulatory readiness.

"As software-defined vehicles grow in complexity, improving transparency and traceability across software components is becoming essential," said Mary Meixia Wang, General Manager of the OpenChain Project. "This first release provides practical guidance and helps advance more consistent SBOM practices across the automotive ecosystem."

The initiative began with early discussions between Keisuke Takase (Toyota), Ayumi Watanabe (Hitachi Solutions, Ltd.), and Masato Endo (Chair, OpenChain Automotive Working Group), reflecting a shared commitment to improving software transparency, traceability, and productivity in the automotive industry. It has since grown through collaboration with organizations, industry associations, and subject matter experts across the automotive and software ecosystems. Their input helped identify common challenges and shape a practical, broadly applicable framework grounded in real-world needs and emerging industry expectations.

The Automotive SBOM Project is part of the OpenChain Automotive Working Group and is designed to complement existing standards such as SPDX (ISO/IEC 5962). The framework does not replace these standards, but instead provides guidance on how they can be applied consistently within the automotive industry.

The project is open to participation from organizations and individuals worldwide and will continue to evolve based on industry feedback and adoption. To learn more about the OpenChain Project and visit the website or access the OpenChain Automotive SBOM Framework, here.

Major Banks Back OSERA to Deliver Industry Wide Remediation Standards and Fixes to Secure Open Source Software
Image File
Original HTML

Within 100 days, OSERA welcomed 6 Premier members, established an open standard for AI-scale remediation and attestation of vulnerabilities in open source software, and delivered patches for more than 50 commonly used projects in the Java ecosystem.

PRAGUE, Oct. 7, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Open Source Summit Europe – The Fintech Open Source Foundation (FINOS), the financial services vertical of the Linux Foundation, today announced at Open Source Summit Europe that the Open Source Enterprise Resiliency Alliance (OSERA) is operational. Initial funding comes from six Premier members including Deutsche Bank, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, NatWest, and Royal Bank of Canada (RBC).

Financial institutions rely heavily on similar open source software stacks. When a security vulnerability is discovered in one of these widely used projects, banks can end up developing or commissioning the same fixes separately OSERA addresses these redundancies by giving financial institutions a shared, open and transparent way to identify, fix and verify vulnerabilities in the open source software they rely on. By working together, members can reduce duplicated effort while helping strengthen the software that underpins the financial services industry.

What's available today

Following the intent-to-form announcement in June, in a matter of weeks, OSERA delivered:

- An open standard for fixing and verifying vulnerabilities: Within 3 weeks of operation, OSERA released the first version of its patching and attestation standard, developed through collaboration between financial institutions, patch producers and open source infrastructure leaders. The standard sets out the requirements a fix must adhere to before it can be trusted and used at scale, helping organizations adopt fixes more consistently and with greater confidence.

- First wave of high value patched projects: The alliance prioritized and delivered secure package updates with standard attestations across more than 50 widely used open source projects in the Spring and Java ecosystems. These remediations addressed publicly disclosed security vulnerabilities (CVE) and are available for immediate production usage by OSERA members. Moving forward, vendor maintainers will address newly disclosed vulnerabilities on these managed lines under a severity-based software license agreement (SLA).

"An open, verifiable standard for remediation delivers trust at scale," said Dov Katz, Managing Director and Distinguished Engineer at Morgan Stanley, and Chair of the OSERA Remediation Standards Working Group. "That v0.1 was able to be published so efficiently shows the sector's desire to set its own high standard for what a patch must prove before anyone consumes it. This is especially critical to enable actual risk mitigation in production, as the industry at large is consuming open source from the community and from multiple patch vendors and coalitions."

To review the supported lines and the Remediation Standards, review the OSERA Prospectus.

A sovereign option for open source supply chain resiliency in the era of AI

Because financial institutions often rely on the same open source software, addressing vulnerabilities independently creates unnecessary cost and duplication across the industry. This is compounded by research showing that 1 in 5 financial institutions have separate teams maintaining private versions of the same projects, creating a "fork tax" that increases maintenance costs and technology risk.

As cyber threats evolve, addressing known vulnerabilities quickly and consistently is increasingly important. OSERA provides an open, member-governed approach that enables financial institutions, technology providers and maintainers to coordinate vulnerability responses that strengthen the open source software the industry relies on.

New resiliency regulations such as DORA, NIS2 and the EU Cyber Resilience Act are increasing expectations for global institutions to demonstrate robust, repeatable approaches to managing software vulnerabilities across complex technology ecosystems. OSERA can work alongside existing commercial and community support models: its source code is public, its governance is member-led under the Linux Foundation, and its standards are open. Recent efforts also demonstrate that organizations can use the service without changing their existing development processes, using existing proxies and package coordinates without requiring CI changes.

"OSERA turns open source resiliency from a fragmented internal burden into a collective operational capability and we are proving it with fast delivery this year, not a roadmap," said Gabriele Columbro, Executive Director of FINOS. "Upstream initiatives like Akrites secure the commons. OSERA is the regulated downstream: signed, standards-gated remediation delivered into production environments, on terms the industry itself sets."

Looking ahead

The alliance has defined a target delivery schedule through the end of 2026:

- Produce a minimum of 80 patches per month. Under the alliance's SLA, vendor maintainer Moderne will deliver patches to a secured platform with quarantine gates, being built by open source security experts ControlPlane. Growing participation from HeroDevs, RapidFort, Sonatype and Scott Logic will continue to develop the standardization process and accelerate production use of supported software versions.

- Deliver the first end-to-end release of the OSERA platform at the Open Source in Finance Forum NY in November. This is expected to continue driving down the cost per patch, enabling increased software coverage and capacity to respond to increases in AI vulnerabilities.

- Develop a per-project sponsorship model that lets firms directly fund and boost projects they depend on, in addition to the common pool prioritization.

- Collaborate with sister initiatives like Akrites. OSERA is highly complementary to Linux Foundation initiatives like Akrites, and will promote collaboration on remediation standards, and financial services priorities to compound value and avoid duplication.

Designed for every industry constituent

OSERA offers an open-first, transparent operational model suitable for everyone. While OSERA addresses a critical need for financial institutions, it is designed to provide benefits for all constituents in the software supply chain, from commercial patch producers to software composition analysis and registry vendors.

To get involved:

- Financial institutions should join as OSERA members to consume financial services-grade hardened releases.

- Open source infrastructure vendors should become FINOS members to actively contribute to and ultimately adopt the remediation standards, ensuring their offerings meet the financial industry's needs.

- Commercial maintainers and patch producers should also consider becoming FINOS members to participate in remediation standards and be eligible to become vendor maintainers under alliance SLAs.

- Everyone can rebuild fixeson GitHub as hardened project lines.

Supporting Quotes

Peter Thomas, Managing Director, Distinguished Engineer, Deutsche Bank:

"The strength of OSERA lies in its practical execution inside existing enterprise environments. In our initial pilots, we proved that banks can pull hardened, standard-compliant releases through standard corporate proxies with zero friction to existing development pipelines. Replacing duplicate internal patching efforts with a shared, high-trust pipeline is a huge win for the industry."

Abe Batthish, Vice President, DevOps, RBC:

"So much of what we build runs on open source, and we want to help keep it safe and viable for everyone in the industry. RBC is excited to help lead the governance of OSERA's backpatching pipelines, holding vendor maintainers to clear standards and SLAs so every fix meets the same bar no matter who produces it."

ORTEC mentioned as a Representative Vendor in 2026 Gartner® Market Guide for Vehicle Routing and Scheduling

ORTEC advances AI-powered planning for more adaptive, resilient logistics operations.

ZOETERMEER, Netherlands, Oct. 7, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- ORTEC, a global leader in planning and decision-support software, today announced it has been mentioned as a Representative Vendor in the 2026 Gartner® Market Guide for Vehicle Routing and Scheduling (VRS). We hold the view that this recognition comes at a time when logistics organizations are facing growing operational complexity, increasing sustainability requirements and rising customer expectations, while simultaneously exploring how AI can improve planning, decision-making and execution.

For ORTEC, inclusion in the Market Guide underscores the company's continued investment in enabling organizations to move beyond traditional route optimization toward more intelligent, and adaptive logistics operations. As businesses seek solutions that can respond dynamically to disruptions, capacity constraints and changing delivery environments, ORTEC believes its combination of advanced optimization, logistics expertise and AI-powered decision support is uniquely positioned to help customers create lasting business value.

"We are proud to be recognized as a Representative Vendor in the 2026 Gartner Market Guide for Vehicle Routing and Scheduling," said Georgios Sarigiannidis, CEO of ORTEC. "We feel this reflects both the trust our customers place in us and the technology and expertise we have built over decades. Logistics operations are becoming increasingly complex. Organizations do not need more dashboards, alerts, or decisions. They need trusted systems that remove operational noise, automate what can be automated, and help people focus on what truly matters. By combining optimization, AI, and deep logistics expertise, ORTEC helps organizations build more resilient, efficient, and adaptable operations. We believe Gartner's recognition reinforces the direction we have chosen and the value we continue to deliver to customers every day".

Gartner defines a vehicle routing and scheduling (VRS) solution as "an application that creates vehicle routes and schedules, considering multiple constraints and service requirements while minimizing transportation fleet costs and mileage." Gartner's research notes that "The interest in VRS applications continues to grow, fueled by continued challenges resulting from supply chain disruptions, government regulations on emissions and expansion of various delivery models."

Among its key findings, Gartner reports that the influence of AI is being reflected in the VRS market: "AI is having a significant impact on VRS vendor roadmaps, transforming it from a feature enhancement into a core strategic mandate for future development," with most vendors already exploring AI agents and generative AI to support roles including dispatchers, planners, drivers, and customer support.

For our customers, partners, and prospective clients, we believe ORTEC's inclusion in the Market Guide reflects the company's expertise, market relevance, and commitment to AI driven innovation. In a rapidly evolving logistics landscape, organizations require partners they can rely on to navigate complexity, drive performance and embrace emerging technologies with confidence.

Financial Wellness Programs Have a Heftier Price Tag when Built In-House, New Research Finds
Image File
Original HTML

A New Financial Wellness Think Tank™ report, "Build or Buy," estimates an in-house program costs between $21 million to $38 million and more than a decade of time; finds expertise, not budget, is the biggest barrier.

EL SEGUNDO, Calif., Oct. 7, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Most large employers have settled the question of whether to offer a financial wellness program. The open question now is how to source it. Among those with a financial wellness strategy or developing one, 87% had outside help building it, and the share relying on a dedicated financial wellness vendor rose from 47% in 2020 to 66% in 2025, according to the Employee Benefit Research Institute (EBRI). A new white paper from Financial Finesse's Financial Wellness Think Tank™ examines why and estimates what building a program from scratch would take: $21 million to $38 million in product and content development alone, on a timeline longer than most benefits plans anticipate.

"The data is crystal clear," said Liz Davidson, founder and CEO of Financial Finesse. "When nearly nine in ten employers with a financial wellness strategy rely on outside expertise, it tells us something important: financial wellness is not just a technology challenge. It's a specialized discipline that combines personal finance, behavior change, coaching and compliance. Most organizations recognize it's more effective to partner for that expertise than spend years trying to recreate it."

The report, Build or Buy: What It Costs to Create a Financial Wellness Benefit, draws on the disclosed venture funding and acquisitions across workplace financial wellness providers, published software R&D benchmarks, economic research on what it costs to copy an established product, and EBRI's latest Financial Wellbeing Employer Survey. Most employers, the EBRI data shows, don't hand the work off entirely: 59% said their own company was also involved. The trend is toward adding outside expertise, not replacing internal effort.

Key findings

- Building can cost $21M-$38M. Estimates reflect not only technology development, but also the content, coaching methodologies, and compliance infrastructure required to support an effective program.

- Time may be the bigger hurdle. No workplace financial wellness platform with a public funding history reached maturity in less than a decade.

- Expertise, not budget, is the real barrier. Effective programs require specialized knowledge in behavioral finance, coaching, and financial education, alongside benefits and technology expertise.

- Even the experts buy. Leading financial wellness providers have used acquisitions to add capabilities rather than building every component themselves internally.

- Deep internal expertise narrows the gap, but doesn't close it. Organizations with strong capabilities across personal finance, benefits, and software development may reduce costs to an estimated $14M-$25M, but significant investment is still required.

- A financial wellness program is never finished. Tax laws, retirement plan contribution limits, and employee benefits offerings change regularly, so content, coaching guidance, and compliance reviews all need ongoing updates. Organizations that build their own program take on that maintenance indefinitely.

The report is clear that purchasing a financial wellness solution does not eliminate the employer's role. Programs deliver results when organizations commit to them, promote them and give employees time and encouragement to use them. It also identifies the narrow set of organizations for which building internally is the right call: those with deep, sustained expertise across personal finance, employee benefits and software, and the resources to maintain and update a program that is never finished.

"Organizations tend to do their best work when they invest their own time and talent in what they exist to do, and lean on specialists for the rest," adds Davidson. "Financial wellness may not be most employers' core business, but their people are, and when they pair proven expertise with genuine commitment, they can change their employees' financial futures."

For employers weighing the decision, the report recommends a straightforward next step: ask a provider's consulting team what the same capability costs to buy and compare the two figures.

The full white paper is available at Build or Buy: What It Costs to Create a Financial Wellness Benefit - Financial Finesse.

Methodology: Development cost figures are Financial Finesse estimates derived from public venture financing disclosures and published software industry operating expense benchmarks, not verified company financial statements. Employer sourcing data is from the 2025 EBRI Financial Wellbeing Employer Survey of benefits decision makers at companies with 500 or more employees (n=406 in 2025). Financial Finesse is among the organizations that provided funding for the survey. Replication cost ratios are from Mansfield, Schwartz and Wagner, The Economic Journal (1981), a study of manufactured products, applied as the closest available benchmark rather than a direct measure of software and services development.

Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners invests in Via Verde, Italian biomethane platform

The investment in the Via Verde platform marks Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners' (CIP) entry into the Italian biomethane market, with a development pipeline of 20 biomethane projects.

COPENHAGEN, Denmark, Oct. 7, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP), through its Advanced Bioenergy Fund II (ABF II), has reached final investment decision (FID) on Via Verde, an Italian biomethane platform. ABF II invests primarily in the development, construction, and operation of biogas plants across Europe, converting agricultural waste and other sustainable feedstock into biomethane.

Via Verde represents ABF II's first investment and marks CIP's entry into the Italian biomethane market. The investment will create local jobs and supply domestically produced biomethane, which will replace imported fossil gas, supporting both Italy's energy independence and decarbonisation efforts.

Via Verde comprises a development pipeline of 20 projects strategically located across multiple regions of Italy, including Lombardy, Abruzzo, and Campania. Each plant is expected to process approximately 60,000 to 100,000 tonnes of agricultural waste annually.

Once the 20 projects are fully operational, the Via Verde platform will deliver approximately 1 TWh of biomethane annually, equivalent to the annual gas consumption of around 60,000 Italian households.

Andreas F. Brandt, Partner at CIP, says of the new investment: "Via Verde marks our entry into one of Europe's most attractive biomethane markets, giving us a strong foothold as Italy scales towards its 2030 biomethane targets. CIP will leverage its advanced bioenergy expertise to support Via Verde's experienced local team and substantial project pipeline, laying a strong foundation for long-term growth. We believe biomethane will play a key role in strengthening Italy's energy independence and supporting its transition to a lower-carbon energy system."

Supported by favourable market fundamentals and policy support mechanisms, Via Verde is expected to establish an early at-scale position in the Italian biomethane market and support the expansion of domestic renewable gas production.

NX Group and JAL Launch Intra-Asia/North America-Asia Transport Partnership

- Building Transport Network with Large Freighter Aircraft to Meet Growing Demand for AI- and Semiconductor-related Cargo Transportation -

TOKYO, Oct. 7, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- NIPPON EXPRESS HOLDINGS, INC. ("NX Group") and Japan Airlines Co., Ltd. ("JAL") have launched a transport partnership covering intra-Asia and North America-Asia routes, utilizing a Boeing 747 freighter ("747F") secured by JAL through cooperation with its partners. The service operates on a round-trip circuit originating in Los Angeles and routing via Narita, Taipei (Taoyuan), Singapore and Narita before returning to Los Angeles, responding to robust demand between North America and Asia as well as within Asia. The first flight departed Los Angeles on Saturday, October 3, 2026. The service is available with one flight per week in 2026, and both companies will continue to pursue further network expansion going forward.

Service Features

-Securing scarce large-freighter capacity within Asia

Demand for AI- and semiconductor-related cargo is currently very strong, particularly between Tokyo, Taipei and Singapore, yet few airlines operate large freighters within Asia, leaving shippers with limited options. By operating the Narita-Taipei-Singapore-Narita route with a 747F offering a maximum payload of approximately 100 tons, this service provides a distinctive, high-value-added offering that creates a vital network within Asia.

-Strengthening transport network linking North America and Asia

Because cargo can be loaded and unloaded at each port of call on the circuit route, the service enables the design of diverse transport routes and efficient transport operations, flexibly meeting cargo transport needs between North America (including Latin America beyond) and Asia.

-Meeting demand for rapidly growing high-value-added cargo

Leveraging the unique capabilities of large freighter aircraft, the service accommodates transport demand for oversized and heavy cargo such as server racks and data center-related equipment, as well as high-value-added cargo, which is increasing alongside the spread of generative AI and expanding investment in digital infrastructure.

Through this partnership, the two companies will secure stable and flexible air transport capacity, deliver optimal transport services that meet diverse needs and pursue sustainable growth as part of the logistics infrastructure.

OncoBayes progressing OB-001 to tackle ADC resistance and TKI brain penetration

OncoBayes progressing OB-001 to tackle ADC resistance and TKI brain penetration

LONDON, Oct. 7, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- OncoBayes, a privately held clinical-stage pharmaceutical company, today announced the successful completion of preclinical work with OB-001, demonstrating the product's potential to tackle two major unmet needs in oncology: ADC resistance and the brain penetration of tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs).

OB-001 is a highly selective and effective inhibitor of two key efflux pumps (P-gp and BCRP), which are present both on the blood-brain barrier and on tumour cells. The product is being developed as a once-daily oral tablet, which will be used in combination with a number of gold standard oncology treatments in order to optimise their efficacy.

In perfused-brain mouse studies, OB-001 pretreatment significantly raised brain exposure of four gold standard kinase inhibitors – whilst systemic (plasma) exposure remained broadly unchanged. Data presented at AACR 2026 demonstrated that OB-001 could increase the brain exposure of osimertinib by almost 400% with minimal systemic changes[1],[2]. Based on a translational PK-PD-TGI model for osimertinib, this increase is projected to deliver a step-change in CNS progression-free survival for EGFRm NSCLC patients. The improved control of brain metastases is still a major area of unmet need in NSCLC and breast cancer.

The same efflux pumps have also been identified as a key resistance mechanism impacting ADCs – with the over-expression of these pumps leading to reduced payload concentrations in the tumour. Preclinical work using a bidirectional transporter assay demonstrated that OB-001 reduces efflux for several leading payloads, including SN-38 (e.g. sacituzumab govitecan, Trodelvy®), DM4 (e.g. mirvetuximab soravtansine, Elahere®) and DXd (e.g. trastuzumab deruxtecan, Enhertu®).

Plans are currently underway to move into a parallel clinical trial programme to generate POC data in combination with osimertinib, and also evaluate T-DXd re-sensitisation.

"This is a critical milestone for our team, and we are now well positioned to initiate our clinical plans with OB-001" said Jim Millen, Chief Executive Officer for OncoBayes. "OB-001 is on track to become a first-in-class drug with broad potential as a simple, oral adjunct to a range of blockbuster oncology therapies. This is truly a pipeline in a product opportunity."
