CHANGAN Enters a New Phase of European Growth at Mondial de l'Auto 2026

CHANGAN NEVO debut, broader powertrain offerings and deeper local operations underline CHANGAN's long-term commitment to Europe

PARIS, Oct. 12, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Changan Automobile outlined the next phase of its European strategy at Mondial de l'Auto 2026. Following the introduction of the CHANGAN DEEPAL line in Europe last year, Changan unveiled the all-new CHANGAN NEVO line and announced plans to broaden its powertrain range and further expand its local R&D, engineering and customer service capabilities. Together, these developments mark a new stage in Changan's long-term commitment to Europe, bringing a wider choice of products and stronger local support to meet customers' changing mobility needs.

The CHANGAN NEVO line is built around three core values: Refined Design, Shared Comfort and Enjoyable Technology. Refined Design combines sophisticated aesthetics with a natural, welcoming sense of comfort, balancing visual refinement with everyday practicality. Shared Comfort places every occupant at the centre of the journey, with thoughtfully designed space, flexible layouts and equal comfort across the cabin. Enjoyable Technology integrates an intelligent cockpit, connected digital experiences and real-time driving assistance to create an experience that is smarter, safer, and stress-free. To date, CHANGAN NEVO has served more than one million families globally, turning intelligent and comfortable mobility into part of everyday life for a growing community of users worldwide.

The CHANGAN NEVO Q05 made its European debut at Mondial de l'Auto 2026. The NEVO Q05 combines a spacious interior, driver assistance technologies and everyday usability for urban and suburban lifestyles. Looking ahead, the CHANGAN NEVO product line will expand with models including the all-new CHANGAN NEVO Q06, further broadening the choice for families. CHANGAN NEVO Q06 brings together expressive design, comfort, intelligent technology and confident handling to make a premium family mobility experience accessible to a wider audience.

The expansion of Changan's European product portfolio is part of a broader strategy that combines new model introductions with the continued development of local design, engineering and customer support capabilities. CHANGAN established its European Design Centre in Turin, Italy, in 2001 and subsequently expanded its regional research and engineering capabilities, including an R&D centre in Birmingham, United Kingdom. Over more than two decades, the company has continued to strengthen its European presence across design, engineering and customer services.

Guided by its "In Europe, For Europe" strategy, Changan is developing a localised ecosystem spanning research and development, service, talent and future manufacturing opportunities. The company is also strengthening after-sales provision through spare parts centres in the Netherlands and the United Kingdom, alongside technical support, customer service and engineering training.

In Europe, CHANGAN DEEPAL S05 and S07 are already on sale in BEV versions, and the left-hand-drive S05 PHEV has now joined them. The S07 PHEV will be introduced across major European markets later this year. The NEVO Q05 is expected to launch in Spain and Italy by the first quarter of 2027. The CHANGAN brand and its DEEPAL and NEVO lines, together with AVATR, form Changan Automobile's European brand and product portfolio.

"Europe has always been the benchmark. We come here to learn from our partners and to grow together," said Zhao Fei, General Manager of Changan Group and President of Changan Automobile. "Changan is here to stay. Like plane trees along the Seine, we are putting down deep roots in Europe and growing with you. Together with our partners, we will move the global auto industry forward and bring better products and services to customers worldwide."

The European debut of CHANGAN NEVO in Paris further broadens Changan Automobile's product portfolio in the region. In line with its "In Europe, For Europe" strategy, Changan will continue to expand its product offering and strengthen local capabilities, bringing greater choice and dependable support to European customers while contributing to a smarter and more sustainable future of mobility.

In HelloNation, Automotive Expert Carl Krause Explains Arizona Heat Tires and Highway Driving Tire Selection
Original HTML

The article outlines how heat, road conditions, and tire ratings affect driver safety and performance in southern Arizona.

NOGALES, Ariz., Oct. 12, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- What should Arizona drivers ask before choosing tires for heat, highway miles, and rough road conditions around Nogales? HelloNation has published an article that provides clear answers and practical guidance for drivers navigating these demanding conditions.

The HelloNation article explains that selecting Arizona heat tires requires understanding how extreme temperatures affect performance and durability. In southern Arizona, road surfaces can become significantly hotter than the air, increasing tire stress. The article notes that tire heat resistance is critical because specialized rubber compounds help prevent softening and maintain traction during long drives.

According to the article, heat directly impacts the lifespan. As temperatures rise, internal tire pressure increases, and materials begin to break down faster. This can lead to accelerated wear and a higher risk of blowouts, especially for drivers who rely on highway driving tires for long commutes or regional travel. The article emphasizes that choosing the right tires in Nogales, AZ, can reduce these risks and improve overall safety.

Highway conditions are another major factor discussed in the article. Many drivers in the region depend on highway driving tires that offer stability, fuel efficiency, and durability. The article describes how touring or all-season tread life tires with higher treadwear ratings are often well-suited for extended highway use. These tires are designed to handle sustained speeds while maintaining consistent performance.

The article also highlights the importance of tread design for drivers who encounter rough or uneven roads. In and around Nogales, AZ, road conditions can vary from smooth pavement to gravel or construction zones. The HelloNation article explains that reinforced sidewalls and more aggressive tread patterns improve durability and help protect against punctures. These features are especially valuable when selecting Nogales, AZ tires that must perform across mixed driving environments.

Understanding tire ratings is another key takeaway. The article explains that tire ratings provide insight into treadwear, traction, and temperature resistance. A higher temperature grade indicates stronger tire heat resistance, which is essential for Arizona heat tires exposed to extreme summer conditions. Reviewing tire ratings helps drivers make informed decisions that align with their driving habits and local environment.

Load and speed ratings are also addressed in the article. Vehicles that carry heavier loads or travel frequently at highway speeds require tires that can handle additional stress. The article notes that matching these specifications to driving needs supports better tread life, tire performance, and extends hot-weather tire lifespan.

Maintenance plays a critical role as well. The HelloNation article explains that proper inflation is essential in hot climates because underinflated tires generate excess heat and wear more quickly. Regular pressure checks and inspections for cracks or uneven tread wear can help drivers identify issues early and maintain the reliability of their highway driving tires.

The article further emphasizes that drivers in southern Arizona may need to replace tires sooner than expected due to heat exposure. Monitoring tread depth and overall condition ensures that Nogales, AZ tires continue to perform safely over time. These routine checks support longer tread life tires and reduce the likelihood of unexpected failures.

Automotive Expert Carl Krause of Cropper's Nogales Auto Center is featured in the article, which presents these insights as part of a broader effort to help drivers make informed decisions. The article positions Automotive Expert guidance as a valuable resource for understanding how Arizona heat tires, tire heat resistance, and tire ratings all contribute to safer driving outcomes. Cropper's Nogales Auto Center is mentioned as a local business familiar with the region's unique demands.

The article concludes that choosing the right tires involves balancing durability, performance, and environmental conditions. By focusing on tire heat resistance, reviewing tire ratings, and selecting appropriate highway driving tires, drivers can improve both safety and comfort. In a region like Nogales, these considerations are essential for maintaining a reliable vehicle.

What Should Arizona Drivers Ask Before Choosing Tires for Heat, Highway Miles, and Rough Road Conditions Around Nogales? features insights from Carl Krause of Cropper's Nogales Auto Center, Automotive Expert of Nogales, Arizona, in HelloNation.

Gargle Expands Dental Marketing Insights to Help Practices Measure Visibility Across Google and AI Search
Image File
Original HTML

Dental marketing company brings traditional SEO performance and emerging AI visibility insights together to help practices better understand their digital presence.

LEHI, Utah, Oct. 12, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Gargle, Inc., a dental-focused digital marketing company, is expanding its approach to search visibility measurement, helping dental practices gain a more comprehensive understanding of how patients discover them across Google and emerging AI-powered search platforms.

As the digital search landscape evolves, dental practices have more opportunities than ever to connect with prospective patients. Traditional search engines continue to play a critical role in patient discovery, while AI-powered platforms such as ChatGPT, Gemini, and Google's AI search experiences introduce additional ways for patients to research dental services and providers.

Gargle is helping dental practices understand both sides of this evolving landscape by combining established SEO performance insights with emerging AI search visibility analysis.

"SEO continues to be one of the most important foundations of dental marketing," said Jeff Richins, President of Gargle. "AI search isn't replacing the need for strong Google rankings, optimized websites, or local visibility. It's expanding the ways patients find dental providers. Our focus is helping practices understand their performance across all of these channels."

A More Complete Picture of Online Visibility

For years, dental practices have relied on metrics such as keyword rankings, website traffic, phone calls, and patient conversions to evaluate their digital marketing performance.

These measurements remain essential for understanding how effectively a practice attracts and converts prospective patients.

However, as AI-powered search experiences become part of the patient research process, practices have an additional opportunity to evaluate how their business is represented in AI-generated responses.

Gargle's approach brings together several important areas of digital visibility:

- Traditional SEO Performance: Evaluating keyword rankings, organic traffic, website optimization, and other indicators of search performance.

- Local Search Visibility: Understanding how practices appear in Google Maps, local search results, and other location-based discovery experiences.

- AI Search Visibility: Examining how dental practices are represented in responses generated by AI-powered platforms.

- Online Reputation and Authority: Assessing the digital signals that help patients and search platforms understand a practice's credibility.

- Patient Acquisition Performance: Connecting marketing activity to measurable outcomes such as calls, appointment inquiries, and new patient opportunities.

By evaluating these areas together, dental practices can develop a more informed understanding of their digital presence and identify opportunities for improvement.

Building on Proven SEO Strategies

Gargle's expanded visibility approach builds on its longstanding expertise in dental search engine optimization.

Rather than treating AI optimization as a replacement for traditional SEO, Gargle incorporates Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) alongside established strategies for website performance, local search, and content development.

Many of the elements that contribute to successful SEO, including relevant website content, accurate business information, and a strong local presence, also support a practice's broader digital visibility.

"The fundamentals of good digital marketing haven't disappeared," said Richins. "Dentists still need websites that perform well, strong local SEO, and strategies that generate measurable results. What we're doing is making sure those efforts also support visibility as search technology continues to evolve."

Helping Dental Practices Make More Informed Marketing Decisions

Through its AI Search & Marketing Visibility Report and ongoing search optimization services, Gargle is helping dental practices evaluate their current visibility and better understand opportunities across traditional and emerging search experiences.

As patient search behaviour continues to evolve, Gargle remains focused on providing dental-specific marketing strategies that combine established performance principles with emerging technologies.

"Our clients don't need separate strategies competing against each other," said Richins. "They need a comprehensive marketing approach that helps patients find them, whether they're searching on Google, exploring Google Maps, or asking an AI platform for recommendations."

About Gargle, Inc.

Gargle is a dental-focused digital marketing company specializing in website design, search engine optimization, AI search optimization, paid advertising, social media, and online reputation management. With a focus on measurable marketing performance and industry-specific expertise, Gargle helps dental practices strengthen their online presence and attract new patients.

CBS ArcSafe® Adds Wireless Operation and Milwaukee Power to Chicken Switch® RSK-DS10 for DS-Style Circuit Breakers

DENTON, Texas, Oct. 12, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- CBS ArcSafe®, a leading manufacturer of remote racking and switching solutions for low- and medium-voltage switchgear, has updated the Chicken Switch® RSK-DS10, a remote switch kit (RSK) that allows technicians to trip and close DS-style circuit breakers from outside the arc flash boundary. The updated kit is powered by a Milwaukee® M18™ REDLITHIUM ion battery pack for wireless operations.

DS-style low-voltage breakers from Westinghouse, Cutler-Hammer, Square D, and Eaton remain in service in facilities across the country. For teams that maintain this gear, the RSK-DS10 offers a cost-effective way to reduce operator exposure to arc flash hazards. The device eliminates hazardous manual contact with the gear during switching operations and can reduce the need for arc flash suits.

The RSK-DS10 is compatible with DS, DSII, DSL, and DSLII breakers, except models equipped with two vertical handles. Magnets hold the actuator securely against the breaker face, so technicians can quickly install and remove the device without any modifications to existing electrical equipment.

The addition of M18 battery power puts the RSK-DS10 on the same platform as much of CBS ArcSafe's remote switching lineup, while the handheld controller runs on standard alkaline batteries. Facilities can choose the configuration that best fits their layout and safety procedures: corded versions with 30- or 50-foot operating lengths or the new wireless version with a range up to 150 feet with line of sight.

All CBS ArcSafe products are manufactured in the United States at our facility in Denton, Texas. For more information, visit CBSArcSafe.com or call 877-4-SAFETY.

About CBS ArcSafe

CBS ArcSafe offers the electrical industry's largest inventory of remote racking and switching solutions for low- and medium-voltage switchgear. The systems operate without modification to existing electrical equipment and allow technicians to operate equipment from a safe distance of up to 300 feet away. All CBS ArcSafe equipment is manufactured in the United States at our Denton, Texas, facility. In HelloNation, Montessori Education Expert Madelynn Van Den Heuvel Explains How Independence Develops in Children
Original HTML

The article highlights how Montessori environments support confidence, responsibility, and self-directed learning through everyday activities and guided choice.

SANTA CRUZ, Calif., Oct. 12, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- What does true independence look like in early childhood, and how can schools nurture it without pressure? That question is explored in a HelloNation article featuring Montessori Education Expert Madelynn Van Den Heuvel of Santa Cruz, California. In the article, Van Den Heuvel shares how Montessori education promotes independent development in children by starting with the environment and approach, not just the curriculum.

The HelloNation piece emphasizes that Montessori education treats independence not as a milestone to reach, but as a natural part of daily learning. In a Montessori classroom, children are surrounded by tools, furniture, and materials specifically designed for their size and abilities. This intentional design encourages students to complete tasks independently, helping them build trust in their capabilities from an early age.

Van Den Heuvel explains that independent development in children begins with simple but meaningful tasks. In Montessori education, these include everyday actions such as pouring water, sweeping floors, and preparing snacks. These may appear minor to adults, but for children, completing them builds a real sense of accomplishment and responsibility. The result is increased confidence in children as they begin to understand they can contribute meaningfully to their environment.

The HelloNation article also discusses how freedom of choice supports Montessori independence. Rather than following a strict schedule, students select their own activities within a guided framework. This choice strengthens their ability to focus, manage time, and problem-solve. Van Den Heuvel explains how these opportunities foster self-discipline and internal motivation, two key outcomes of children's independence development.

Montessori teachers play a unique role in this process. Instead of giving direct instruction throughout the day, they observe and guide. This approach helps children learn at their own pace and gives them space to make and learn from mistakes. As highlighted in the article, the goal is not to push children into independence, but to create a Montessori classroom where it can emerge naturally. Over time, this builds lasting confidence in children and reduces their dependence on adult validation.

Social growth is another focus of Montessori independence. The HelloNation piece describes how mixed-age classrooms allow younger children to learn by observing older peers, and older children to take leadership roles. This model fosters cooperation and patience, helping children understand the importance of both self-reliance and community. These benefits of Montessori go beyond academics and influence how children interact at home and in the world.

Many parents, according to Van Den Heuvel, notice that their children become more responsible, more persistent, and more emotionally balanced as they grow in a Montessori environment. These qualities are signs of deep-rooted independence, supported by thoughtful guidance rather than rewards or pressure. The HelloNation article stresses that the benefits of Montessori are not limited to the classroom but shape long-term attitudes toward learning and growth.

Montessori education fosters a quiet confidence in children through hands-on experiences, respectful guidance, and real-world tasks. Van Den Heuvel's contribution to the HelloNation article offers parents and educators a clear look at how a Montessori classroom encourages students to become capable, self-assured learners ready to take initiative in their lives.

How Montessori Education Expert Madelynn Van Den Heuvel of Santa Cruz, CA, Explains Independence Development in Children for HelloNation features insights from Madelynn Van Den Heuvel, Montessori Education Expert of Santa Cruz, CA, in HelloNation.

DOCS Investors Have Opportunity to Lead Doximity, Inc. Securities Fraud Lawsuit
Image File
Original HTML

NEW YORK, Oct. 12, 2026 /PRNewswire/ --

Why: Rosen Law Firm, a global investor rights law firm, reminds purchasers of common stock of Doximity, Inc. (NYSE: DOCS) between August 8, 2024 and May 13, 2026, both dates inclusive (the "Class Period"), of the important November 16, 2026 lead plaintiff deadline.

So what: If you purchased Doximity common stock during the Class Period you may be entitled to compensation without payment of any out of pocket fees or costs through a contingency fee arrangement.

What to do next: To join the Doximity class action, go to https://rosenlegal.com/cases/doximity-inc/join or call Phillip Kim, Esq. toll-free at 866-767-3653 or email [email protected] for information on the class action. A class action lawsuit has already been filed. If you wish to serve as lead plaintiff, you must move the Court no later than November 16, 2026. A lead plaintiff is a representative party acting on behalf of other class members in directing the litigation.

Why Rosen Law: We encourage investors to select qualified counsel with a track record of success in leadership roles. Often, firms issuing notices do not have comparable experience, resources, or any meaningful peer recognition. Many of these firms do not actually handle securities class actions, but are merely middlemen that refer clients or partner with law firms that actually litigate the cases. Be wise in selecting counsel. The Rosen Law Firm represents investors throughout the globe, concentrating its practice in securities class actions and shareholder derivative litigation. Rosen Law Firm has achieved the largest ever securities class action settlement against a Chinese Company. Rosen Law Firm was Ranked No. 1 by ISS Securities Class Action Services for number of securities class action settlements in 2017. The firm has been ranked in the top 4 each year since 2013 and has recovered billions of dollars for investors. In 2019 alone the firm secured over $438 million for investors. In 2020, founding partner Laurence Rosen was named by law360 as a Titan of Plaintiffs' Bar. Many of the firm's attorneys have been recognized by Lawdragon and Super Lawyers.

Details of the case: According to the lawsuit, throughout the Class Period, Doximity overstated the impact that its Newsfeed would have on its revenue growth, and Doximity was losing market share to its competitors with more favorable pricing and engagement models, while also using banner ads and e-newsletters instead of deep engagement tactics. When the true details entered the market, the lawsuit claims that investors suffered damages.

In the news release, MATSON CHRISTENS NEXT ALOHA CLASS VESSEL 'MAKUA', issued 12-Oct-2026 by Matson, Inc. over PR Newswire, we are advised by the company that changes have been made. The complete, corrected release follows, with additional details at the end:

MATSON CHRISTENS NEXT ALOHA CLASS VESSEL 'MAKUA'

First of Three New Containerships Will Enter Service in 2027

PHILADELPHIA, Oct. 12, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Matson, Inc. (NYSE: MATX), a leading U.S. carrier in the Pacific, and Hanwha Philly Shipyard, Inc. (HPSI), a leading U.S. shipbuilder of ocean-going merchant vessels, christened the first of three new containerships being built for Matson's China-Long Beach Express (CLX) and Hawaii services in a ceremony at Hanwha Philly Shipyard (HPSI) on Saturday, October 10.

At the ceremony, Matson board member Jenai Wall officially christened the vessel 'Makua' by breaking a ceremonial bottle of champagne against the ship's hull before a gathering of approximately 300 attendees including U.S. Maritime Administration Deputy Administrator Mark Johnson, Matson and HPSI executives, shipyard workers and union leaders. Speakers included U.S. Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) Deputy Commander Lt. General Jered P. Helwig.

Representing an investment of approximately $1 billion, Matson's three new Jones Act-compliant vessels are being built to match the size and speed of Matson's two existing Aloha Class ships, Daniel K. Inouye, and Kaimana Hila, which were also built by HPSI and set a new standard for cargo transportation in Hawaii when they entered service in 2018 and 2019, respectively, as the largest containerships ever constructed in the U.S.

Weighing in at over 51,400 metric tons, Matson's 850-foot long and 3,600-TEU*-capacity Aloha Class containerships are also Matson's fastest vessels, with a top speed of nearly 24 knots, helping ensure on-time deliveries in Hawaii and industry-leading transit times from Asia to the U.S. West Coast.

Like their sisterships, the new vessels will be equipped with dual fuel engines designed to operate on either conventional marine fuels or liquefied natural gas (LNG), as well as other "green ship technology" features, such as a fuel-efficient hull design, environmentally safe double hull fuel tanks, and freshwater ballast systems. While the earlier ships required some modification to operate with LNG, the new ships will be delivered LNG-ready.

The three new ships will replace three vessels currently deployed in Matson's Hawaii and CLX services. Makua is scheduled for delivery in the first quarter of 2027; the second ship is scheduled to deliver in the third quarter of 2027, and the third is expected in the second quarter of 2028.

"We look forward to putting Makua to work serving our customers early next year," said Matt Cox, chairman and chief executive officer. "We're excited that adding three new Aloha Class ships to Matson's fleet over the next 18 months will improve operating efficiencies and reliability, and increase capacity in our core Hawaii service, as well as our China-Long Beach Express service. And we're proud that building them here supports hundreds of good-paying shipyard jobs and will provide more than 2,500 job opportunities for U.S. mariners over the lifespan of each ship."

HPSI is a leading U.S. commercial shipyard constructing vessels for operation in the domestic Jones Act trade lanes. Prior to Matson's first two Aloha Class ships, the shipyard delivered four newly built Jones Act containerships for Matson between 2003 and 2006.

"Today's christening of Makua is especially meaningful because Matson has been part of the story of this shipyard from its earliest days," said David Kim, CEO of HPSI. "Our partnership spans generations of vessels and reflects a shared commitment to American shipbuilding and the U.S. maritime industry. We are grateful for Matson's continued trust in our people, and incredibly proud of the skill and craftsmanship our workforce is bringing to Makua and the next generation of Aloha Class ships."

Matson plans to name the other two new containerships Malama and Makena. Founded in 1882 as a Hawaii-focused business, Matson has a long tradition of giving Hawaiian names to its vessels serving Hawaii, and also reusing vessel names from the early 20th century.

Matson's original ships named Makua, Malama, and Makena were all freighters commissioned by the United States Shipping Board (USSB), an emergency agency established by the 1916 Shipping Act to increase the number of U.S. ships supporting the war effort during World War I. They were purchased by Matson in the 1920s and remained active in the Matson fleet for the next two decades.

Makua ("mah-KOO-ah") is a Hawaiian word for parent, elder, ancestor, or family.

Malama ("MAH-lah-mah") is a Hawaiian word meaning to care for or protect.

Makena ("Mah-KEN-ah") is a Hawaiian word for abundance.

More information on Makua and Matson's fleet modernization program is available at www.Matson.com.

* TEU = Twenty-foot Equivalent Units, the standard unit of measurement for container capacity

Breakthrough T1D Concludes Inaugural Clinical & Research Congress, Highlighting Global Advances in Type 1 Diabetes Research

CRC 2027 Will Take Place in Washington, D.C., October 15-17, 2027

PHILADELPHIA, Oct. 12, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Breakthrough T1D, formerly JDRF, the leading global type 1 diabetes (T1D) research and advocacy organization, announces the conclusion of the inaugural Breakthrough T1D Clinical & Research Congress (CRC 2026).

From October 9-11, 2026, this landmark gathering of the global T1D community brought together world-renowned clinicians, researchers, scientists, healthcare professionals, industry leaders, people with lived experience, and community advocates in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with the goal of improving lives and driving toward a world without T1D.

"Across the Congress, we looked at T1D from every angle: what we are learning about the disease, how that knowledge is shaping new treatments, and what people need from care today," said Dr Thomas Danne, Chief Medical Officer, International for Breakthrough T1D. "The most valuable discussions were the ones that connected those questions. That is how we make research more useful to the clinicians and communities it is meant to serve."

During CRC 2026, attendees explored the latest scientific and clinical advances during more than 80 sessions covering critical focus areas such as endocrinology, discovery science and immunotherapies, emerging technologies like AI and digital twins, islet cell and disease-modifying therapies, and access to care for the T1D community. Key moments from the two and half days of programming can be found in daily recaps below:

Dr. Sanjoy Dutta, Chief Scientific Officer said: "The breadth of research presented here shows how many routes scientists are pursuing toward better treatments and cures. Exploring where findings across immunology, cell therapies, and technology intersect helps us sharpen the next questions and decide where Breakthrough T1D can fill knowledge gaps and remove barriers to make the greatest difference in an accelerated manner."

Dr. Anastasia Albanese-O'Neill, Senior Vice President of Medical Affairs said: "What stood out throughout the Congress were conversations about what happens after an advance is made: how it fits into clinical care, who can benefit, and whether people can access it. Keeping those questions at the center will help ensure progress in T1D reaches and improves lives of people with type 1 diabetes."

Next year, Breakthrough T1D will host its second Clinical & Research Congress (CRC 2027) in Washington, DC from October 15-17, 2027, aimed at building on the collaboration and innovation established during this groundbreaking forum.

Aaron Kowalski, Chief Executive Officer said: "We launched this Congress to give the T1D community a place to work through the questions that matter most — from making daily life better to accelerating cures. Philadelphia was the start of that conversation, and we're looking forward to building on it in Washington, D.C. next year."

About Breakthrough T1D

As the leading global type 1 diabetes research and advocacy organization, Breakthrough T1D helps make everyday life with type 1 diabetes better while driving toward cures. We do this by investing in the most promising research, advocating for progress by working with government to address issues that impact the T1D community, and helping educate and empower individuals facing this condition.

About Type 1 Diabetes (T1D)

T1D is an autoimmune condition that causes the pancreas to make very little insulin or none at all. This leads to dependence on insulin therapy and the risk of short and long term complications, which can include highs and lows in blood sugar; damage to the kidneys, eyes, nerves, and heart; and even death. Globally, it impacts 9.5 million people. Many believe T1D is only diagnosed in childhood and adolescence, but diagnosis in adulthood is common and accounts for nearly 50% of all T1D diagnoses. The onset of T1D has nothing to do with diet or lifestyle. While its causes are not yet entirely understood, scientists believe that both genetic factors and environmental triggers are involved. There is currently no cure for T1D.

Avoiding fraud after a hurricane

Identity theft and fraud often increase after storms and natural disasters, when scammers take advantage of disrupted routines to file false claims or pose as contractors, charities or aid workers.

Customers should be cautious of contractors who:

- Claim to be approved by FEMA or other government agencies

- Arrive unsolicited or pressure quick decisions

- Require large upfront payments or request payment in full before work begins

- Ask customers to sign contracts with blanks or exaggerate losses

Customers should verify a contractor's credentials, obtain written estimates and carefully review contracts before signing or making a payment. Additional tips on working with a contractor are available on Allstate's website.
