- Hybrid cooling design incorporating a closed-loop cooling system to enable near-zero wastewater

- Expected to create more than 700 jobs across construction and operations

MUMBAI, India, Oct. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Colt Data Centre Services (Colt DCS), a global provider of AI-ready, hyperscale and large enterprise data centres, and RMZ, India's largest privately owned real assets platform, today announced the commencement of construction of its third data centre in the city (Mumbai 3), an AI-ready facility located at the operator's Navi Mumbai Campus that will deliver 64MW upon completion.

Mumbai 3 is being developed as part of Colt DCS and RMZ's joint venture (JV), announced in 2024, to invest $1.7 billion in the Indian data centre market. Ground preparation began in December 2025, and construction is now underway following the signing of the facility's first hyperscale customer. This development is a milestone reflecting the pace at which the venture has scaled just within 18 months of signing.

"The nature of data centre demand is evolving rapidly, with customers requiring larger deployments, higher rack densities and infrastructure capable of supporting increasingly intensive AI workloads. Mumbai 3 is designed to address these needs, further strengthening our Navi Mumbai Campus as a scalable and future-ready digital infrastructure platform. Built with AI readiness at its core, the facility incorporates advanced cooling capabilities, including liquid cooling and enhanced power infrastructure to support high-density deployments. This enables customers to efficiently scale next-generation AI and high-performance computing workloads while maintaining operational resilience and efficiency," said Pratap Mane, Country Head DCS, India.

"The next wave of digital growth will be driven by infrastructure that brings together scale, resilience, and speed to market. At Mumbai 3, we are developing a future-ready campus designed to enable hyperscalers and neo-cloud providers to scale seamlessly as their capacity and computing needs evolve. This investment reinforces our commitment to building advanced data centre and AI infrastructure that meets global standards and supports the rapidly evolving demands of the digital economy," said Deepak Chhabria, President, RMZ Digital Infrastructure.

Mumbai 3 responds to growing demand for AI-ready data centre capacity in the region, where the rapid adoption of AI is driving requirements for larger deployments, higher rack densities and greater power capacity. With the data centre fully pre-let, the project will deliver critical AI-ready capacity to the Mumbai market while reinforcing Colt DCS and RMZ's commitment to India's growing digital infrastructure.

Mumbai 3 will join existing data centres Mumbai 1 and Mumbai 2 at the Navi Mumbai Campus, which currently supports large enterprise and cloud workloads. The campus has the potential to deliver up to 148MW of capacity at full development and, upon completion, Mumbai 3 will increase the site's operational capacity to 86MW.

Built for AI Deployments

Mumbai 3 has been designed to support AI workloads and high-density compute deployments, delivering 64MW of secured contracted power, supported by a hybrid cooling architecture that combines traditional air cooling with direct liquid-to-chip cooling. The facility will also benefit from a 220kV GIS substation located on campus, providing high levels of resilience and scalability, alongside carrier-neutral connectivity with access to high-capacity fibre routes.

Sustainable by Design, Creating Local Opportunity

Sustainability and long-term community impact have been central considerations in the development of Mumbai 3. The facility will operate using 100% renewable energy and has been designed with a closed-loop cooling system, enabling near-zero wastewater from the cooling process. In addition to its environmental credentials, the project is expected to create more than 700 jobs across construction and operations, while supporting local suppliers, contractors, and service providers. These initiatives reflect Colt DCS and RMZ's shared commitment to delivering sustainable digital infrastructure that creates lasting value for local communities and the wider region.

As part of the JV, both organisations have committed to develop 250MW of data centre capacity across Mumbai and Chennai. The partnership brings together Colt DCS' global data centre expertise with RMZ's over two decades of experience in developing, owning and operating high-quality infrastructure in the Indian market.

Nordea Bank Abp

Stock exchange release – Interim report (Q1 and Q3)

15 October 2026 at 7.30 EET

HELSINKI, Finland, Oct. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire/ --

Summary of the quarter

Return on equity 15.1% – earnings per share EUR 0.35. Nordea's return on equity for the quarter was 15.1%, a solid performance amid seasonally more subdued activity levels. The cost-to-income ratio2 was 45.0% and earnings per share were EUR 0.35, both broadly stable year on year.

Income growth with strong cost performance. Total income was up 2% year on year. Net interest income was up 1% both year on year and quarter on quarter, with volume growth partly offset by lower lending margins. Net fee and commission income was up 9% year on year, driven by 14% growth in savings income. Net fair value result was down 19% due to extraordinary interest rate volatility. Costs excluding regulatory fees were flat when adjusted for foreign exchange effects. Operating profit was 4% lower at EUR 1.5bn.

Continued strong lending and deposit growth; AuM at record EUR 509bn. Corporate lending and deposit growth were strong, up 8% and 7%, respectively, year on year. Mortgage lending increased by 2%, driven by continued growth in Sweden and Norway. Retail deposits increased by 4% and assets under management (AuM) were up 13% at EUR 509bn.

Strong credit quality. Nordea's credit quality is strong, with net loan losses and similar net result amounting to EUR 74m (7bp) for the quarter. Net loan losses were driven by individual provisions, mainly attributable to a small number of corporate customers, and a small increase in collective provisions. Loan losses remain well within the Group's long term expectation of 10bp.

Continued strong capital generation. The CET1 ratio was 15.8% at the end of the quarter, 1.9 percentage points above the current regulatory requirement. This reflects Nordea's strong capital position and capital generation. Nordea's capital priorities remain unchanged. Nordea continues to generate capital and seek opportunities to deploy it for profitable growth, with excess capital subject to buy-back considerations.

Outlook for 2026: return on equity of greater than 15% and a cost-to-income ratio2 of 44–45%. Nordea has a strong and resilient business model, with a very well-diversified portfolio across the Nordic region. This enables the Group to support its customers and deliver high-quality earnings, with high profitability and low volatility, through the economic cycle.

(For further viewpoints, see the CEO comment. The CET1 ratio includes interim profit net of a dividend deduction of 70% (the upper range under Nordea's dividend policy), subject to ECB approval. For further information see page 14. For definitions, see page 54 in the Q3 2026 interim report.)

CEO comment

Nordea performed well again this quarter. We grew total income year on year, further expanded our customer base, deepened existing relationships and delivered strong growth in savings and investments in a seasonally slower quarter.

Our 2030 strategy is on track, with clear progress made during the quarter. In Life & Pension we significantly grew our assets under management. In Sweden we continued to grow business volumes across both household and corporate segments and have outpaced overall market growth over the past year. Our Nordic scale initiatives across core processes are delivering tangible results for customers: mortgage loan promises are now more automated and corporate lending has been further digitalised, enabling us to be more available for customers and fulfil their needs faster.

Geopolitical uncertainty and volatility remain high. However, the global and Nordic economies continue to show resilience, supported by substantial investment in areas such as artificial intelligence, defence, infrastructure and energy transition. We expect continued economic growth, solid export performance and gradually improving household consumption in our home markets, with growth now also picking up in Finland. At the same time, we are mindful of the recent sharp rises in forward interest rates and the potential for higher rates to affect consumer confidence in the months to come.

The resilience and growing confidence among Nordic businesses of all sizes was reflected in the strong momentum in our corporate lending and deposits during the quarter. Lending increased by 8% and deposits by 7% year on year. This growth shows the strength of our customer relationships and pan-Nordic franchise.

The Nordic housing markets kept up their gradual recovery. Mortgage volumes rose by 2% year on year, driven especially by Sweden and Norway. Retail deposits increased by 4%. Demand for our savings and investment products was strong. Customers continued to invest through our funds and pension products, and we welcomed a significant number of new private banking customers during the quarter – driving positive net flows. Assets under management (AuM) increased by 13%, to a record high of EUR 509bn, with margins stable.

Total income grew by 2% year on year, to EUR 3.0bn. Net fee and commission income increased by 9%, with savings income up 14%. Net interest income development was also positive, up 1% both year on year and quarter on quarter despite lower lending margins. Net fair value result was down 19% due to the extraordinary interest rate volatility late in the quarter, while customer activity was solid in the seasonally slower period.

Costs were flat year on year excluding foreign exchange effects. We continue to invest heavily in strategic initiatives to drive efficiency and productivity across the business. In the third quarter the cost-to-income ratio was 45.0%, operating profit was EUR 1.5bn and return on equity was 15.1%.

Credit and asset quality continue to be very strong. Net loan losses and similar net result corresponded to 7bp. Loan losses remained low, limited mainly to a small number of corporate customers and well within the Group's long term expectation of around 10bp.

In Personal Banking we continued to advance our strategic initiatives and delivered solid business growth. Mortgage and deposit volumes were up 2% and 4%, respectively, in local currencies year on year. In Sweden we continued to grow our mortgage market share, capturing 21% of the market growth in August year to date. Our strong savings advisory expertise, combined with better integration of savings and daily banking into the mortgage customer onboarding journey, drove continued strong savings inflows and deposit growth. Recurring savings inflows were up 14% year on year. We were also pleased to be named best bank and best digital bank in the Nordics in Euromoney's Awards for Excellence.

In Asset & Wealth Management we continued to drive strong income and AuM growth. In Private Banking, a strategic growth area, we made further good progress, with net flows amounting to EUR 0.9bn. Customer demand for our Private Banking offering is increasing – translating into strong growth in net fee and commission income. We also saw strong demand for our BetaPlus fund range, which is now one of Europe's largest enhanced index platforms, with over EUR 100bn in AuM. Importantly, after seeing some outflows in the previous quarter, our wholesale distribution channel returned to positive net flows in the quarter.

In Business Banking we maintained solid volume growth across our home markets: lending volumes were up 6% year on year and deposits were up 2%. We continued to enhance our digital offering, including through a faster, more automated onboarding process – advancing our ambition to become the leading digital financial hub for SMEs in the Nordics. Nordea Business won Global Finance's awards for Best Corporate Digital Bank and Best Mobile Banking App in each of our four home markets: the fourth consecutive year that we have gained this recognition.

In Large Corporates & Institutions customer engagement remained high in all markets and we drove further progress in our strategic growth areas: Sweden, Norway, cross-sales, and the infrastructure segment. Activity and client demand were solid over the seasonally quieter period, supporting year-on-year increases of 13% in both lending and deposit volumes and higher net fee and commission income. Our bond market activity remained high, and we helped customers raise capital and execute strategic transactions amid signs of improving sentiment in equity capital markets and mergers and acquisitions. Net fair value result was lower due to the extraordinary interest rate volatility late in the quarter.

Our capital position is strong, with a CET1 ratio of 15.8%, and we continue to deploy capital for profitable growth.

We enter the fourth quarter with good business momentum. Our strategy execution is progressing well across all key initiatives. Despite global uncertainty, geopolitical tensions and recent rate increases, the economies of our home markets are strong and resilient. Our customers are confident and continue to pursue growth opportunities – and with our Nordic scale, we are uniquely placed to support them with their plans.

Our strong performance is reflected in our full-year 2026 guidance. We continue to expect a return on equity of greater than 15% and a cost-to-income ratio of 44–45%.

Our ambition is to become the undisputed best-performing financial services group in the Nordics.

Frank Vang-Jensen

President and Group CEO

Outlook (unchanged)

Financial targets for 2030

Nordea targets a return on equity of greater than 15% throughout the period, and significantly higher in 2030, and a cost-to-income ratio1 of 40–42% in 2030. These targets will be supported by an annual net loan loss ratio of around 10bp and the continuation of Nordea's well-established capital and dividend policies.

Integrated Research launches Clarion to close the gap between what employees experience and what IT can see

Clarion, IR's first standalone SaaS product, brings employees and IT teams together in real time to answer the deceptively simple question behind a bad call: "Is it me, or the platform?"

SYDNEY, Oct. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Leading global observability software company Integrated Research (IR) (ASX: IRI) today launched Clarion, a lightweight observability solution that gives employees and IT teams proactive, real-time visibility into what is affecting their call and meeting readiness. Clarion is a standalone SaaS product built on IR's new AI-powered platform, Iris.

Built for organizations with remote, hybrid and contact center workforces, Clarion addresses a persistent visibility gap between what an employee experiences and what IT can see. When a call drops, breaks up or simply does not work as expected, it answers the first question anyone asks: "Is it me, or the platform?"

"Workplace communications rely on a technology recipe that includes multiple devices, home and corporate networks, and communications platforms. When any one of these ingredients is deficient the entire communication experience suffers, often critically. Fixing problems such as these can be complicated and time-consuming, overwhelming the IT team," said Ian Lowe, CEO and Managing Director of IR.

Clarion solves this by giving both employees and IT teams real-time visibility of the deficiencies impacting communications. It also provides employees a pre-call health check.

A lightweight widget on the employee desktop tells them, in plain language, what is affecting their calls and meetings. Fleet dashboards aggregate telemetry across the whole workforce, so IT teams can establish whether a problem is isolated or part of something wider. Where many monitoring tools track the network, device or platform in isolation, and only surface a problem after it has been reported, Clarion brings all these signals together in one real time view, often before a call is even affected.

For an employee, that might mean seeing that weak Wi-Fi or headset connectivity is affecting a call and acting on it without contacting IT. When support is needed, Clarion captures the technical context around the issue, giving IT a far better starting point than a ticket reporting that 'something isn't working.'

For IT teams, that same visibility surfaces warnings and critical issues across endpoints, exposes patterns, and allows them to drill down from a single device or connection to a problem affecting a wider group of employees.

Clarion is designed to give employees that visibility while respecting their privacy. It observes the technology supporting their work rather than the employees themselves. It does not record screens, log keystrokes, track activity or idle time, or access what is said on calls.

"Everything we have built has been about giving organizations visibility into the technology behind their most critical operations," said Lowe. "Clarion takes that in a new direction. As a standalone, cloud-native SaaS product, it gives us a simpler way to reach more organizations and more users."

Clarion extends IR's enterprise observability portfolio, including Prognosis, Prognosis Elevate (observability-as-a-service), and AI Chat powered by Iris.

Clarion is available from 15 October 2026 with a 30-day free trial. For more information or to request a demonstration, visit the website.

OSLO, Norway (15 October 2026) TGS, a leading global provider of energy data and intelligence, today announced an agreement with Empresa Nacional de Pesquisa e Exploração Petrolíferas E.P. (“PetroGuin”) for the rights to reprocess the JAAN 3D seismic dataset across Guinea-Bissau on a multi-client basis.

The agreement permits TGS to reprocess more than 11,000 km² of 3D seismic data, building on the parties' previous 2019 PSDM reprocessing. TGS will apply its advanced imaging technologies, including elastic dynamic-matching full waveform inversion (E-DMFWI) and Kirchhoff pre-stack depth migration (KPSDM), and expects a significant uplift in image quality compared with the existing data.

The improved imaging will enhance assessment of both clastic and carbonate targets across the margin, giving explorers greater confidence in their evaluation of prospectivity as they plan future exploration activity in Guinea-Bissau.

TGS will conduct the project in collaboration with GeoPartners, with reprocessing planned to begin in Q4 2026, and final products expected in Q4 2027.

Dr. Alfredo Malu, General Director at PetroGuin, commented, “PetroGuin highly values its longstanding partnership with TGS and reaffirms its commitment to fully honoring all obligations undertaken under this collaboration, in support of the sustainable development of Guinea-Bissau’s oil and gas sector.”

David Hajovsky, Executive Vice President at TGS, commented, “This agreement with PetroGuin allows us to apply our latest imaging technologies to a large 3D dataset across Guinea-Bissau. This reprocessing will deliver a clear step change in image quality, helping companies better evaluate both clastic and carbonate plays across the margin.”

The agreement was signed in person at the African Energy Week 2026 event in Cape Town.

"We remain on track with our Step Up! strategy. The third quarter reflects continued customer demand for our solutions, with recurring revenue again growing faster than total revenue. As this base grows, it provides an increasingly strong foundation for sustainable long-term growth and value creation.

Within Livestock, revenue declined compared with the third quarter of 2025, reflecting the timing of deliveries, alongside the continued transition toward subscription-based offerings. Revenue growth was driven by Healthcare and Retail while revenue in Security remained broadly stable."

Key figures (unaudited)

Outlook

We expect revenue growth in the second half of 2026 compared with the second half of 2025. Geopolitical instability in the Middle East continues to delay customer rollouts for our security solutions in the region. We remain focused on sustainable long-term growth and will continue to invest accordingly, with particular emphasis on Nedap's technology platform, AI, and cybersecurity.

Key market developments

In the third quarter of 2026, recurring revenue continued to grow across all four key markets.

Revenue in Healthcare increased in the third quarter of 2026. We have further strengthened our position in disability care and elderly care. More care organizations adopted our treatment records, reflecting a broader shift toward integrated ways of working, with care professionals and practitioners collaborating within the same record.

Within Livestock, revenue declined in the third quarter of 2026 compared with a strong third quarter in 2025. This mainly reflected timing effects and a further shift toward subscription-based offerings. Recurring revenue increased as adoption of our as-a-service offerings grew. Our installed base continued to expand across multiple regions. Labor scarcity, increasing farm scale, and the need for greater efficiency remain long-term drivers of demand for cow monitoring and automation.

In Retail, revenue increased in the third quarter of 2026. We added customers, including retailers adopting RFID for the first time and those replacing existing providers. Adoption of our solutions continued to expand beyond inventory counting into automated replenishment, on-shelf availability, and overhead inventory visibility. Our RFID-enabled self-checkout portfolio also saw its first large-scale deployments. The previously announced partnership with VF Corporation illustrates our Inventory Engine vision of connecting inventory visibility across stores and the wider supply chain. The planned rollout covers more than 1,500 stores across its brand portfolio, with the initiative also extending to distribution centers and vendor partners to support end-to-end inventory visibility.

Within Security, revenue remained broadly stable in the third quarter of 2026. Nedap Pace went live at the first building on the Bayer CropScience Campus in Monheim as part of Bayer's AllAccess program to establish a common standard for physical access management across sites, countries, and access control systems. We also introduced Nedap Way, our new reader line for secure building access. The portfolio supports both card-based and mobile access and works with a range of new and existing access control systems, allowing organizations to modernize access step by step.

STOCKHOLM, Oct. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- EQT AB ("EQT") is pleased to announce that it has signed an agreement to acquire Stockbridge ("Stockbridge" and the "Transaction"), a leading U.S. real estate investment manager with approximately USD 16.5 billion in fee-generating assets under management.

Founded in 2003 and headquartered in San Francisco, Stockbridge has approximately 185 professionals across six U.S. offices and approximately 180 institutional clients. The firm is principal-led and designed around a client-centric model with specialist depth in traditional property sectors and subsectors, including Industrial Outdoor Storage, alternative living including Manufactured Housing, and established open-ended core products.

The Transaction brings together Stockbridge's established U.S. investment franchises, experienced investment teams, and sector capabilities with EQT Real Estate's industrial leadership, global client reach, operator-led investment model, and differentiated data and AI capabilities. The combination is designed to broaden client access to real estate strategies benefiting from long-term structural tailwinds, including attractive industrial sub-sectors and alternative living strategies, while preserving specialist-led investment teams and a disciplined focus on performance. This marks an important step in EQT Real Estate's continued evolution toward a more thematically diversified global platform.

Strategic rationale

Investors increasingly seek access to platforms that combine sector diversification, specialist operating capabilities, and the ability to deliver attractive risk-adjusted returns across market cycles. EQT Real Estate is well positioned to meet that demand, having more than doubled in size since 2021 to become a leading global sector-specialist manager, with consistent top-quartile performance underpinned by a vertically integrated, operator-led model, local market presence, and proprietary data and AI capabilities.

Stockbridge is a well-established diversified investment platform, with a demonstrated track record across several high-conviction areas that are highly complementary to EQT Real Estate, including:

- Open-Ended Core: Stockbridge's established open-ended core product is ranked in the top 5% of its peer group over the 1-, 3- and 5-year periods1, and provides exposure to a diversified strategy that is a staple allocation for institutional real estate investors. Going forward, it will become a flagship diversified core strategy within EQT Real Estate, building on Stockbridge's existing team and track record. EQT Real Estate aims to thoughtfully scale the fund with existing and new clients through its global client platform and international distribution capabilities, especially in Europe and Asia, with performance remaining the top priority.

- Industrial and Industrial Outdoor Storage: Stockbridge's industrial capabilities will broaden and complement the scope of EQT Real Estate's flagship industrial strategies, adding exposure to industrial sub sectors like Industrial Outdoor Storage, while preserving the investment model that has historically driven strong performance.

- Alternative Living: Stockbridge brings significant experience across U.S. residential real estate and a differentiated track record in more specialized living sectors, particularly Manufactured Housing. The combination provides a foundation from which to build a broader Alternative Living franchise spanning Manufactured Housing and other attractive subsectors over time, such as senior and student housing.

Per Franzén, CEO and Managing Partner of EQT, said: "Our Real Estate platform is an important part of EQT's offering to our clients, and this combination represents a significant next step in the development of the business. Stockbridge has built an impressive track record over more than two decades and is an excellent fit with EQT Real Estate. Both sides will learn and develop from one another while contributing to the wider EQT platform. The combination broadens what we can offer our clients: additional thematic strategies supported by specialist investment teams that will benefit from EQT's global sourcing, operating, and distribution capabilities."

Henry Steinberg, Global Head of EQT Real Estate, said: "This transaction will enable us to deliver the attractive risk-adjusted returns our clients have come to expect from EQT Real Estate across a broader range of sectors. It will expand our industrial platform and broaden client access to complementary strategies, accelerating EQT Real Estate's evolution into a more thematically diversified real estate manager, while staying true to our sector-specialist, local-with-locals approach. In turn, we bring EQT's international platform, global market intelligence, and our proprietary data and AI capabilities and tools to enhance how Stockbridge sources, underwrites, and manages assets, and we hope to sharpen both firms' investment frameworks to further cement our position as a leading investor and operator. We are deeply impressed by what the Stockbridge team has built and we are excited about the opportunities this next phase of growth will create for our clients, our people and the broader EQT Real Estate platform."

Terry Fancher, CEO of Stockbridge, said: "Over more than two decades, Stockbridge has built a leading real estate investment platform grounded in disciplined execution, diversification, and a steadfast commitment to our clients. Joining EQT Real Estate enables us to continue delivering differentiated strategies to the market through the same teams and investment philosophy that have built our track record, while benefiting from EQT's global reach and operating platform. EQT has built a leading global alternative investment platform, and we believe its investment approach, client focus and people-centric culture are closely aligned with our values and long-term vision. We are excited to bring our expertise to EQT to broaden its investment offerings and exposure across both traditional and alternative real estate sectors, while maintaining the investment rigor and client-first mindset that have defined Stockbridge since our founding. We look forward to building this next chapter of the platform together."

Organizational set-up and governance

Following closing, our priority will be to continue delivering for clients across EQT Real Estate and Stockbridge's strategies and to ensure business continuity, while advancing the strategic objectives of the combination. The integration will be led by the firms' operational and business development teams, allowing the investment teams to continue focusing on generating alpha for our clients.

Stockbridge's diversified strategies and alternative sectors will operate as a dedicated business line within EQT Real Estate, while its industrial capabilities will be brought together with EQT Real Estate's existing industrial platform. Existing leadership, investment teams and decision-making processes will largely remain in place, preserving our local, sector-specialist approach, with Stockbridge increasingly leveraging EQT's global client and operating platform over time. Stockbridge CEO Terry Fancher will become Vice Chair of EQT Real Estate, reporting to Henry Steinberg. Stockbridge CFO Kristin Renaudin will become Global CFO of EQT Real Estate, and Tuba Malinowski, currently Executive Managing Director at Stockbridge, will become Head of U.S. Diversified Real Estate. Stockbridge will transition to the EQT Real Estate brand at closing, while existing funds will retain their current naming conventions.

Key transaction details

- EQT will acquire 100% of the Stockbridge management company and the general partner entities which control interests in the Stockbridge funds, and will be entitled to invest in 35% of the carried interest in all future Stockbridge funds, in line with existing EQT policies

- Base consideration of USD 375 million on a cash- and debt-free basis, funded in cash from EQT's balance sheet

- Stockbridge's senior management have committed to reinvest half of their cash consideration into EQT AB ordinary shares, purchased in the market following closing.

Building the AI-Native Core for Next-Generation Agentic Services

BEIJING, Oct. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Traditionally, mobile networks have enabled early communication through voice calls, text messaging, and mobile internet access. However, the emerging agentic era requires support to manage a massive number of AI agents. This evolution requires the core network architecture to understand intent, make intelligent decisions, and ensure the end-to-end completion of AI-driven tasks.

Huawei believes that an AI-native core network will be essential to this transformation. By embedding AI into interfaces, functions, and procedures, operators can evolve from providing connectivity alone to delivering intelligent network capabilities for the next generation of digital services.

According to Huawei's Intelligent World 2035 report, the number of AI agents globally could reach 900 billion by 2035—approximately 100 times the world's population. With the increasing number of AI agents, the core network architecture must be able to support the long-term growth of new connections and services.

As AI terminals and applications become increasingly adopted, agentic services will emerge as typical scenarios of mobile networks, driving network evolution from transporting data bits to enabling task-oriented tokens.

Huawei identified three typical service scenarios for agentic experience assurance.

- Agent Over New Radio (AoNR) for Task Latency Assurance: Portable AI devices face limitations in computing power, battery capacity, size, and cost, making end-to-end latency essential. AoNR is designed to consistently deliver an excellent experience while keeping end-to-end task latency below demanding thresholds.

- Wide-Area Computing Network (WCN) for Computing Efficiency Gains: A WCN can interconnect computing resources through mobile networks, enabling task-based computing scheduling and standardized computing services.

- Agent Computing Network (ACN) for Collaboration Security Assurance: Most complex tasks will involve multiple AI agents working across domains, enterprises, and ecosystems rather than a single agent, which is constrained by model capabilities, context limitations, role conflicts, or sequential processing challenges. Complex scenarios will require secure, dynamic collaboration among multiple specialized agents.

An ACN enables efficient cross-domain and cross-ecosystem agent collaboration through three capabilities: cross-domain trusted digital identity, skill-based agent discovery and routing, and task-driven dynamic networking.

To bridge the gap between terminals and networks, the next generation of core network architecture should have three key characteristics:

- Interfaces (From Signaling to Intent): Intent-based interfaces allow terminals to communicate personalized task requirements—including networking, computing, and experience needs—directly to the network.

- Functions (C/U Planes to C/U+DAP Planes): Introduces a dedicated Data & AI Plane (DAP) alongside traditional control and user planes to act as the intelligence layer, interpreting task intents and dynamically aligning resources in real time.

- Procedures (From AI Overlay to AI-Native): Deeply embeds AI decision-making into fundamental network procedures to coordinate connectivity and computing seamlessly.

Looking ahead, Huawei outlined two stages of the AI-driven core network evolution. Stage one involves how the network enhances customer experiences by overlaying AI capabilities. While stage two is AI native next generation core network, enabling what Huawei describes as "enhanced connectivity", where task-oriented AI services ensure task completion, and "beyond connectivity", where the network must provide capabilities beyond communication, such as providing computing service, and facilitating agents collaboration etc. To adapt to these new services, the network architecture will need to be restructured, particularly in interaction mechanisms, data architecture, and computing architecture.

In addition, the transition to AI-native networks requires comprehensive collaboration across the ICT ecosystem, including terminals, chips, and networks. Through the terminal-network synergy mechanism and advanced core network architecture, the next-generation core network enables new connections and services, opening up new business opportunities in the era of intelligence.
