Tencent Cloud Named a Leader in the 2026 IDC MarketScape for Worldwide Managed Edge Services

SHENZHEN, China, Sept. 16, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Tencent Cloud, the cloud business of global technology company Tencent, today announced that it has been named a Leader in the IDC MarketScape: Worldwide Managed Edge Services 2026 Vendor Assessment (doc #US54122426, September 2026).

According to the IDC MarketScape, "EdgeOne natively converges intelligent acceleration, DDoS protection, web application firewall, bot management, edge compute, edge storage, edge AI inference, as well as web application and AI agent development and deployment capabilities through EdgeOne Makers. Delivered through a unified platform, these capabilities help customers reduce the integration and operational complexity associated with managing multiple products."

Building Edge Infrastructure for AI-Native Applications and High-Performance Edge AI Services

The IDC MarketScape notes, "Content delivery performance and network proximity—the traditional value propositions of managed edge—are now baseline expectations rather than differentiators. The competitive frontier has shifted to AI inference at the edge, where vendors are being evaluated on GPU availability, model deployment tooling, inference latency, and token cost efficiency versus centralized cloud AI services."

To address this shift, Tencent Cloud EdgeOne is evolving its global infrastructure into an edge foundation for AI-native applications. It provides enterprises with edge acceleration, security protection, edge AI inference, and full-stack capabilities to develop and deploy web applications and AI agents. On the security front, Tencent Cloud is expanding EdgeOne's protection capabilities beyond traditional cyberattacks to include the identification and management of emerging access patterns, including AI crawlers and AI agents.

Tencent Cloud EdgeOne is bringing AI inference closer to end users to meet the real-time demands of modern applications. In scenarios such as real-time conversations, transactions, gaming interactions, and media content generation, response time directly affects user experience. Tencent Cloud EdgeOne's edge AI inference platform, Booster, extends the platform's globally distributed infrastructure from content delivery to AI computing. By deploying inference services closer to business applications, Booster enables image and video generation, voice and audio processing, storage, and caching to take place nearer to end users. This allows applications such as artificial intelligence-generated content (AIGC) production, real-time media processing, intelligent recommendations, and advertising decision-making to access computing resources closer to where they are needed, enabling millisecond-level response times.

In the managed hosting sector, the rise of "vibe coding"—the practice of using AI to build applications through natural language—is expanding application development beyond websites toward the creation of AI agents. As large numbers of newly generated agents move into production environments, businesses are placing greater demands on rapid deployment and managed hosting.

Tencent Cloud EdgeOne's edge hosting platform, Makers, now supports both web applications and AI agents in addition to traditional website hosting. Developers can bring completed projects online with minimal adaptation, without building and maintaining the underlying runtime infrastructure. Makers currently serves more than 500,000 users and hosts more than one million websites, supporting corporate websites, cross-border e-commerce, AI SaaS applications, and agents across various industries, including healthcare, government, and legal services.

Edge AI Powers Real-Time Applications Across Gaming, Audio & Video, and E-Commerce

Today, Tencent Cloud EdgeOne operates more than 3,200 edge nodes with over 400Tbps of network capacity and more than 50 secondary ISP interconnections, covering Chinese Mainland and other major markets across Asia Pacific, North America, Latin America, the Middle East, and Europe. From supporting Tencent's own large-scale gaming, audio and video, and e-commerce businesses to serving enterprises across industries worldwide, EdgeOne brings decades of experience in global edge infrastructure and supports sectors including finance, gaming, media, e-commerce and new retail, logistics, ticketing, aviation, and hospitality. It provides a technology foundation for enterprises expanding globally and entering the Chinese market.

Empowering the Gaming Industry with Low-Latency Delivery

According to IDC's China Gaming Cloud Market Tracker, H1 2025, Tencent Cloud CDN services powered by EdgeOne have ranked first in China by revenue for four consecutive years. Gaming resource delivery volume has also ranked first. EdgeOne has supported the distribution and security of Farlight 84, which attracted over 16 million pre-registrations ahead of launch, and Mecha BREAK, which registered over 5.2 million players for its global open beta. It has also defended Delta Force against hundreds of attacks. Meanwhile, EdgeOne Booster provides edge inference capabilities for emerging use cases such as AI-powered Non-Player Characters (NPCs), intelligent recommendations, and real-time content generation, bringing computing resources closer to players and enhancing real-time interactive experiences.

Accelerating Audio & Video Content Delivery Globally

EdgeOne covers 80% of the top 10 China-based outbound audio and video social applications by scale and serves leading global customers including Tencent Music Entertainment Group (TME), Japanese karaoke app Pokekara, and Pakistani internet TV platform ARY ZAP. As AI reshapes content production and interactive experiences, EdgeOne Booster enables open-source multimodal models to be deployed at the edge, allowing images, video, and audio assets to be generated and processed closer to users without being sent back to centralized cloud infrastructure. This significantly shortens the AI content production workflow and provides global media businesses with high-concurrency, low-latency edge inference capabilities.

Driving Conversions for E-commerce and New Retail with AI

EdgeOne Makers enables one-stop deployment and hosting of e-commerce AI agents, helping AI move from "answering questions" to "solving problems." Across customer service, logistics tracking, returns and exchanges, and product selection and marketing, AI agents can execute business tasks directly, providing 24/7 service and improving operational efficiency for global businesses.

Beyond the IDC MarketScape, Tencent Cloud has also been recognized as a representative vendor in three Gartner Market Guides covering Distributed Denial-of-Service (DDoS) mitigation solutions, web application and API protection (WAAP), and edge distribution platforms, with related capabilities incorporated into the 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) international standards.

From accelerating and protecting the internet to connecting AI computing and powering AI applications, Tencent Cloud EdgeOne continues to extend its global network, security, and edge computing capabilities for the AI era, helping enterprises across industries connect with users worldwide and bring AI-powered businesses into production.

A Transcript Is Not a Dental SOAP Note

DentScribe releases Benchmark 1.0 and a companion white paper to show dentists what polished AI prose can hide.

SUNNYVALE, Calif., Sept. 16, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- The patient has left. The next patient is waiting. The AI-generated note sounds professional. But did it keep the distal-buccal caries separate from the lingual fracture? Did it remember that the crown was deferred? Did it record the second anesthetic carpule as requested, or as administered?

DentScribe today released Dental AI SOAP Note Benchmark 1.0 and the companion white paper Beyond Transcription to help dentists answer those questions before trusting an AI scribe with their clinical record.

Dentists do not examine patients section by section. A symptom appears early. The clinician checks a tooth, changes the probing depth after a correction, pauses to answer a question, discusses another tooth, and returns later with a treatment decision. Important facts are scattered across the encounter. A useful AI scribe must gather them, preserve their relationships, and place them into a structured note without filling gaps with assumptions.

Put the Final Note on Trial

- Can it keep the map. A condition must stay with the right tooth, surface, periodontal site, or region.

- Can it preserve what happened. A treatment that was discussed, requested, deferred, or planned cannot become completed care.

- Can it handle a correction. A corrected 5 mm measurement cannot remain 6 mm or drift to another site.

- Can it respect uncertainty. A possible diagnosis or conditional biopsy must not become a confirmed diagnosis or scheduled procedure.

- Can it ignore the wrong story. A comment about another patient must not enter the current patient's note.

Benchmark 1.0 provides ten focused cases and two source-based, scattered-conversation cases. The focused cases isolate difficult documentation problems. The source-based cases retain the original order of de-identified clinical excerpts, including interruptions, partial statements, late additions, corrections, and unrelated clinical stories.

The instructions are deliberately simple: give each product the same encounter and one standard request, keep the first output, and compare the note with the expected clinical content. A pass requires every essential fact, no invented or conflicting clinical detail, and an organization a dentist can use.

"The most dangerous note is not the one that looks obviously bad. It is the polished note that quietly changes what the dentist found or what the patient agreed to," said Dr. Vinni K. Singh, DDS, AFAAID, Founder and CEO of DentScribe. "We created Benchmark 1.0 so dentists can test the final note instead of being impressed by the transcription."

"A dentist may mention the same tooth five times before the clinical picture is complete. The hard problem is assembling those fragments without losing a surface, inventing a conclusion, or confusing discussion with care delivered," said Dr. Ratinder Paul Singh Ahuja, Ph.D., Board Chair of DentScribe. "That is the difference this benchmark is designed to reveal."

Why the White Paper Matters

Beyond Transcription walks through the clinical distinctions that fluent summaries often erase. A generalized periodontal finding can contain localized exceptions. A tooth can have an existing restoration, new decay on one surface, a fracture on another, a recommended crown, and a lower-cost alternative. Each fact must remain connected to the right tooth and the right status.

The paper expands the discussion across restorative care, periodontal charting, mixed dentition, endodontics, implants, orthodontics, soft-tissue examinations, medication status, and after-care. It also shows why full conversations matter: the finished SOAP note is assembled from evidence that arrives throughout the visit, not dictated as a finished report.

DentScribe does not publish its proprietary prompts or engineering methods. It publishes the cases, expected content, and scoring rules dentists need to compare products on the same visible result.

Availability

DentScribe believes it is the best technology for creating dental SOAP notes. Benchmark 1.0 gives customers a direct way to test that position. Dental practices and DSOs can request the benchmark and white paper, run the cases against competing products, and bring the hardest examples to a live DentScribe demonstration.

Leqembi® Pen subcutaneous formulation approved in Japan

STOCKHOLM, Sept. 16, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- BioArctic AB (publ)'s (NASDAQ STOCKHOLM: BIOA B) partner Eisai announced today that the subcutaneous autoinjector formulation of Leqembi (known as Leqembi Pen in Japan) has been approved as a new route of administration for the treatment of early Alzheimer's disease.

Leqembi Pen enables patients or care partners to self-administer treatment, with two injections (totaling 500 mg) given once weekly. This approval in Japan provides people living with early Alzheimer's disease with an additional treatment option, allowing once-weekly subcutaneous administration at home[1], complementing the existing intravenous (IV) formulation, which is administered every two weeks in a hospital setting.

Leqembi Pen may reduce the time required for treatment administration compared with IV infusions, with each injection taking approximately 15 seconds. The option for at-home administration may reduce the burden of clinic visits for patients and their care partners and provide a treatment option that better fits their lifestyles.

The subcutaneous treatment option is expected to lower barriers to initiating and continuing treatment and has the potential to reduce healthcare resources associated with IV administration, such as nurse monitoring and maintaining infusion capacity. This may help streamline the overall Alzheimer's disease treatment pathway.

As with IV administration, monitoring for ARIA (amyloid-related imaging abnormalities) involves brain magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) before treatment is initiated and at specified time points thereafter.

Japan is the third country globally to approve the subcutaneous formulation of Leqembi. This approval is based on the integrated results of data and associated modeling and simulation from the 18-month core study of the Phase 3 Clarity AD study of Leqembi in patients with mild cognitive impairment (MCI) due to AD or mild AD dementia (collectively referred to as early AD), as well as multiple subcutaneous administration sub-studies in its subsequent long-term extension (LTE). Once-weekly administration of the 500 mg subcutaneous formulation demonstrated similar exposure to IV administration once every two weeks and supported the expectation that the subcutaneous formulation provides efficacy comparable to that of the IV formulation. The overall safety profile of subcutaneous administration was generally similar to that of IV administration, while systemic injection/infusion-related reactions were observed less frequently with subcutaneous administration (1.4%)[2] compared with IV administration.

China's investment shifts toward innovation and new growth drivers

China's investment shifts toward innovation and new growth drivers

BEIJING, Sept. 16, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- This is a report from China SCIO

China's investment structure continued to improve in the first eight months of 2026, with capital increasingly flowing into technological innovation, advanced industries, and modern infrastructure, despite a 7.2% year-on-year decline in fixed-asset investment.

Wang Guanhua, spokesperson of the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) and deputy director general of the Department of Comprehensive Statistics of the NBS, made the remarks at a Tuesday press conference.

Wang said the decline was due to multiple factors, including heat waves, typhoons, and floods that disrupted construction in some regions, while greater external uncertainty and ongoing transition from traditional to new growth drivers at home prompted businesses to take a more cautious approach to investment decisions.

"As the economy transitions from one stage of development to another, investment performance should not be judged simply by its growth rate," she noted. She added that more attention should be paid to the role of investment in supporting economic transformation and upgrading, and its contribution to long-term growth momentum.

Despite the year-on-year decline, China's fixed-asset investment remained substantial at around 29.3 trillion yuan (US$4.33 trillion) in the first eight months. The changing investment mix, Wang added, points to improving investment quality and efficiency and stronger support for high-quality development.

Investment in innovation gains momentum

Investment in intellectual property products rose 9.2% year on year in the first eight months, accelerating by 0.1 percentage point from the first seven months and accounting for 15.2% of total investment, up 2.3 percentage points from a year earlier.

Specifically, investment in computer software and databases grew 10.9%, while research and development investment increased 7.8%. Together, the two areas accounted for more than 95% of investment in intellectual property products.

Such investment helps turn scientific and technological advances into practical applications while supporting industrial upgrading and productivity growth, Wang noted.

Capital flows into new growth engines

High-tech industry investment grew 5.2% year on year in the eight months through August, accelerating for the third consecutive month.

Specifically, investment in specialized electronic materials manufacturing and integrated circuit manufacturing rose 8.5% and 12%, respectively, as demand for artificial intelligence technologies and applications continued to grow.

In addition, investment in lithium-ion battery manufacturing surged 20.6%, fueled by the expansion of the new-energy vehicle industry and strong demand for energy storage. Meanwhile, equipment purchase investment rose 9.3%, accounting for 19.5% of total investment and reflecting the continued impact of China's large-scale equipment renewal program.

Major infrastructure projects gather pace

Investment in modern infrastructure is also gathering pace as major projects get underway in the first year of the 15th Five-Year Plan period (2026-2030).

Cross-regional transportation corridors, major energy and water conservancy projects, new infrastructure, and urban renewal projects are advancing in an orderly manner, providing stronger support for high-quality development, Wang said.

Significant progress has been made in developing the "six networks" infrastructure, covering water, power, computing, next-generation communications, urban pipelines and logistics. In the first eight months, investment in internet and related services grew 42% year on year, while investment in air transportation, water transportation, and electricity supply increased 16.7%, 14.7%, and 12.7%, respectively.

As of the end of June, more than 70 major computing-power corridors had been built around national computing hubs, according to official data.

"In all, China's investment mix is shifting toward new growth drivers and becoming better balanced, with continued improvements in investment quality and returns," Wang said, adding that with various policies continuing to work in concert, the potential of investment will be further unlocked to support high-quality economic and social development.

Market Logic Software Launches DeepSights Radar, an AI Early-Warning System for Market Change
Image File

New agentic AI capability continuously monitors selected industries and topics, giving business leaders a current view of market change without requiring a dedicated analyst team.

BERLIN, Sept. 16, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Market Logic Software today announced the general availability of DeepSights Radar, a new capability in its AI-powered market intelligence platform, DeepSights. DeepSights Radar autonomously monitors, analyzes and synthesizes developments across selected industries and topics, helping companies spot market developments before they become urgent risks or missed opportunities.

Insights teams are under pressure to follow more sources, competitors and market signals, often without additional headcount. The result is a growing gap between the volume of information available and the capacity to turn it into timely intelligence for business stakeholders in strategy, product, innovation and marketing. DeepSights Radar is designed to help close that gap by providing 24/7 access to an up-to-date view of strategic markets and topics from one place.

Expert AI agents analyze new market signals

AI agents that keep a living picture of the market

DeepSights Radar uses always-on AI agents that read every piece of research flowing into a customer's DeepSights platform against a definition of what matters to that business, in its own vocabulary. Rather than summarizing a fixed set of documents, the agents build up a living body of market understanding: they recognize the competitors, trends, regulatory developments and other forces that qualify, and maintain a structured, multi-chapter profile on each. Every new piece of research deepens that understanding, with every claim traceable to its source. A New Learnings summary highlights what has changed since the last version, so users can easily read about the shift rather than going over the entire profile from scratch.

Two ways to monitor: industry radar and topic radar

DeepSights Radar is available in two modes: Industry Radar and Topic Radar.

Industry Radar tracks change across a vertical market and identifies emerging trends and issues customers may not yet be following. Market Logic is launching with three out-of-the-box industry radars: consumer packaged goods (CPG), over the counter (OTC) healthcare and retail. Each radar is pre-tuned to the industry's acronyms, dynamics and KPIs and includes 12 ready-to-use radars organized around four dimensions: demand, supply, regulatory and legislative change, and competitive activity. With expert services support, new Industry Radars can go live within a few days.

Topic Radar provides ongoing monitoring of specific themes and topics a customer has identified as strategically important. A self-service setup, guided by a short briefing wizard, allows companies to set a new radar live within hours.

Built for active intelligence

The Radar launch reflects Market Logic's focus on active intelligence: AI-supported systems that identify new market signals, alert users to important developments and help teams act earlier on evidence rather than intuition.

"Business and insights leaders do not lack data. They lack the time and resources to turn it into a dependable, current view of their market. DeepSights Radar does that continuously, so they can act early and seize competitive advantage," said Olaf Lenzmann, Chief Product and Innovation Officer, Market Logic Software.

DeepSights Radar is generally available for new and existing DeepSights customers.

Europe's corporate giants drive $15.5 trillion in revenue, up 4% from last year

Women lead 8.6% of companies on the list, with 43 female CEOs. This is the highest number for the Fortune 500 Europe since its launch in 2023

LONDON, Sept. 16, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, Fortune unveiled the Fortune 500 Europe ranking for 2026, highlighting the continent's top companies. The launch will be marked at the bell opening of the London Stock Exchange. Volkswagen maintains its lead position, with revenues up 3%, widening the gap with Shell, whose revenues fell 5%.

For the first time in the list's four-year history, Germany no longer contributes the most companies to the list. The UK takes the lead with 76 companies, followed by Germany with 73 and France with 66.

Profit growth returned to the Fortune 500 Europe companies after a 5% decline the previous year, with profits increasing by 3% to just over $1 trillion. Overall, revenues grew by 4% to $15.5 trillion, equivalent to half of the region's GDP and 13% of world GDP. The overall profit margin shrank again, to 6.5%, down from the high of 7.1% for the 2024 list. Cost control is reflected in the combined employment figure for the 500, which shrank by 1% to 34.6 million, pushing up revenue per employee by 5% and profit per employee by 4%.

At the top, Volkswagen reported $363 billion in revenue, while FMS Wertmanagement Group closes the list at #500 with $7.4 billion, pushing the list's lower threshold to over $7 billion for the first time. HSBC again tops profits, with over $22 billion in 2025 – one of only 25 firms over $10 billion.

The number of women CEOs has risen further to 43, the highest for Fortune 500 Europe, and total revenues for women-led firms increased by 24% to $1.2 billion. Some 8.6% of companies are led by women – fewer than one in ten and below the 11% representation in the U.S.-based Fortune 500. BP (#4), led by Meg O'Neill, is the only woman-led company in the top 10, and with Engie (#39), one of two in the top 50.

The Fortune 500 Europe Top 10 List:

- Volkswagen (Germany)

- Shell (UK)

- Glencore (Switzerland)

- BP (UK)

- TotalEnergies (France)

- Stellantis (Netherlands)

- BMW Group (Germany)

- Mercedes-Benz Group (Germany)

- Banco Santander (Spain)

- BNP Paribas (France)

Financial services is the largest sector in the list, responsible for 24% of revenue, 40% of profits, and 14% of employees. Financial services, energy, and motor vehicles & parts together account for over half of all revenues and profits on the list, and dominate the top 10. Shell, Glencore, BP, and TotalEnergies claim four of the top five spots. Germany's industrial strength is reflected via Volkswagen (#1), BMW (#7), and Mercedes-Benz (#8). The UK's strong energy presence secures two of the top five spots, and France leads with the most workers across its 66 companies.

Wael Sawan, Chief Executive Officer at Shell, commented: "We want to become the world's leading integrated energy company, providing the energy our societies need for growth, and economic and human development today, while supporting a balanced energy transition. We continue to drive the transformation of Shell into a more focused and competitive business, with a clear strategy to deliver more value with less emissions and an exciting vision for the future. We are pleased to be recognised by Fortune."

Grethe Schepers, Lists Director Europe at Fortune, said: "The Fortune 500 Europe is more than a numerical ranking; it is the definitive benchmark of European business scale and a live indicator of macroeconomic transformation. When analyzed strategically, this list reflects current corporate success just as much as it maps where Europe is heading next."

Also today, C-suite leaders from across Europe and the Middle East will be gathering in London at the Fortune CEO Forum to discuss the list and growth opportunities across Europe. Leaders from Anthropic, Ferrari, Mastercard, Société Générale, Shell, EDF, Google, Nat West, Open AI, Palantir, Honeywell, Microsoft, Tech Mahindra and many others will take part in a series of discussions moderated by Fortune editors.

For the Fortune 500 Europe list, companies are ranked by total revenues for their latest available respective fiscal years. All companies on the list must publish financial data and report part or all of their figures to a government agency. The latest figures in the list are as reported by the companies; any comparisons are with the prior year's figures as originally reported. Fortune does not restate the prior year's figures for changes in accounting. The full methodology is available here.

Intellian and Network Innovations Sign Strategic Partnership to Develop and Distribute Multi-Band, Multi-Orbit WGS Flyaway Terminals for Military and Government Markets

Agreement Paves the Way for Enhanced Flexibility and Resiliency with the Provisioning of Concurrent Mil-X, Mil Ka-band, and Commercial Ka and Ku Frequencies

PARIS, Sept. 16, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Intellian Technologies Inc., a global provider of advanced satellite communications technologies and mission-critical connectivity solutions, and Network Innovations, a global technology systems integrator focused on government, military, and enterprise sectors, today announced a strategic partnership to jointly develop and distribute next-generation tactical ground Wideband Global SATCOM (WGS) flyaway terminals for military and government customers.

Developed with insights from Network Innovations' 20+ years of real-world operational experience in supporting military and WGS customers in some of the most demanding missions, the new flyaway terminal platform is designed to be the world's first to support simultaneous Mil-X, Mil Ka-band, and Commercial Ka and Ku-band connectivity, with electronic switching across an extended range of Ka-band frequencies. Purpose-built for operations utilizing the WGS constellation, the system is engineered to deliver secure, resilient, high-capacity communications for expeditionary forces and other mission-critical deployments. The deployable systems can be operational in as little as 30 minutes and have been designed from the outset for multi-band and multi-orbit operations across LEO, MEO, GEO, and HEO constellations.

Built for demanding operational environments, the flyaway terminals are being engineered to achieve full WGS certification and compliance with key MIL-SPEC requirements. Intellian also plans to introduce non-WGS commercial variants of the platform, extending the technology to a broader range of government, enterprise, and critical communications applications.

"Developing our first tactical ground WGS flyaway platform represents an important expansion of Intellian's military and government portfolio," said Eric Sung, CEO of Intellian. "By combining simultaneous X-band and Military Ka-band capability, access to wider commercial Ka frequencies, and multi-orbit connectivity in a rapidly deployable architecture, we are addressing the increasingly complex communications requirements of modern defense operations. Our goal is to give operators greater flexibility, resilience, and assured connectivity wherever their missions take them."

Derek Dawson, CEO of Network Innovations, added, "By combining Intellian's advanced terminal technology with Network Innovations' deep experience serving military and government customers worldwide, we can accelerate the introduction of this new capability. This next generation solution supports not only WGS satellites, but also the combination of all existing and new LEO/MEO satellites, which is increasingly important to our customers and their missions."

TAT spotlights Bangkok Art Biennale 2026 as a contemporary citywide art experience

Angels & Mara transforms temples, museums, landmarks and public spaces into an art route for culture-led travel

BANGKOK, Sept. 16, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is highlighting Bangkok Art Biennale 2026 (BAB 2026) as a citywide contemporary art experience that will strengthen Bangkok's position as a global art destination. Scheduled from 29 October 2026 to 28 February 2027 under an Angels & Mara theme, the fifth edition brings Thai and international artists into dialogue with the capital's heritage, spirituality, urban life and creative future.

TAT Governor Ms. Thapanee Kiatphaibool said, "Bangkok Art Biennale 2026 reflects TAT's direction to position Thailand as a high-value and meaningful destination, where culture, creativity and contemporary identity create deeper reasons to travel. By turning Bangkok into a citywide platform for artistic discovery, Angels & Mara strengthens the Thai capital's global visibility, supports the Festival Economy, and connects visitors with experiences that bring together heritage, imagination and the creative energy of Amazing Thailand."

Angels & Mara shapes the citywide platform that explores the tension between guardians of light and forces of temptation. Drawing on religious, cultural and philosophical traditions, BAB 2026 examines the dualities that define modern life, from hope and despair to spirituality and materialism, memory and forgetting, desire and restraint. Set in Bangkok, whose Thai name, Krung Thep, means City of Angels, the theme gives visitors a deeper look into the capital, while offering artists a powerful framework to reflect on the uncertainty, conflict and transformation of modern life.

The programme features a growing roster of artists and collectives from Thailand and around the world, working across painting, sculpture, photography, performance art, film and multimedia. The line-up reinforces BAB 2026 as an international platform for artistic dialogue, stimulating conversation across cultures, generations and disciplines.

BAB 2026 will unfold across temples, museums, cultural institutions, educational spaces and major public venues. Locations include Wat Arun (Temple of Dawn), Wat Pho (Temple of the Reclining Buddha), Wat Prayoon (Temple of the Iron Fences), Museum Siam, Bangkok Art and Culture Centre, One Bangkok, centralwOrld, Siam Paragon, the National Museum Bangkok and the Art Centre, Silpakorn University. Together, these venues connect Bangkok's historic quarters, riverfront communities, civic landmarks and emerging areas, offering visitors a new art route to explore the capital.

Against this urban backdrop, TAT will connect BAB 2026 with Thailand's wider tourism appeal, encouraging visitors to experience Bangkok through contemporary art, heritage sites, creative districts and everyday city life. This approach supports culture-led travel and reinforces the capital as a place where heritage, creativity and contemporary urban culture converge.

The festival is a collaboration of Thailand's cultural, tourism, government and private-sector partners, with Thai Beverage Public Company Limited as a major supporter since 2018. This shared commitment reinforces Bangkok's appeal as a regional centre for contemporary art and extends the value of art into tourism, education, public engagement and the wider economy.

Founded in 2017 and first staged in 2018, Bangkok Art Biennale was created to transform Bangkok into one of Southeast Asia's leading modern art destinations. Previous editions have attracted more than 3.5 million visitors and presented works by over 300 artists from Asia, Europe, the Americas, Oceania and Africa. Meanwhile, the pandemic-era BAB Virtual Venue reached over 2.3 million online viewers worldwide.

More information, including the latest participating artists, artworks, venues and public programmes, is available through official Bangkok Art Biennale channels.

The Stanford Geneticist Who Looks 25 Years Younger Reveals the Skincare Gel He Uses Every Day - Yuvan Research Inc.

NEEL Gel combines longevity science with clinically measured collagen growth in an effort to change how aging skin is treated

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. , Sept. 16, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- What does a world-renowned genetics professor—described as looking 25 years younger than his age—put on his own skin?

The answer is surprisingly simple: a moisturizer and NEEL Gel.

Dr. Michael Snyder, Stanford's W. Ascherman Professor of Genetics and director of its Center for Genomics and Personalized Medicine, says NEEL is the only skincare product he uses regularly besides moisturizing cream. His endorsement is particularly striking because Snyder has spent his career studying genomics, personalized health and the biological changes that occur as people age.

NEEL Gel was created by Yuvan Research Inc., a biotechnology company pursuing interventions that address aging at its biological roots. Rather than developing another cosmetic designed to temporarily soften or hydrate the skin, Yuvan built NEEL around GHK-Cu—a naturally occurring copper peptide involved in repair and regeneration whose abundance declines with age.

The company's formulation contains 3% GHK-Cu. Research examining gene-expression data has associated the peptide with changes across numerous biological pathways, including those involved in collagen production, inflammation, tissue remodeling and cellular repair.

For consumers, however, the most compelling evidence may be something they can see and measure: the restoration of collagen inside aging skin.

In an Institutional Review Board–approved human study, 21 volunteers used NEEL for 90 days. High-resolution ultrasound scans recorded an average collagen increase of 28%. (neelgel.com)

Transforming GHK-Cu into a dependable consumer product presented another challenge. The peptide can lose stability through oxygen exposure. Yuvan Research spent approximately three years developing NEEL and its specialized dispensing system, designed to reduce contact with air and preserve the active formulation during routine use.

Snyder reports using the gel for more than two years. In a company-produced video (https://youtu.be/F2PSLh94Pv0?feature=shared) he says, "small wrinkles disappeared rather quickly. Larger wrinkles too are diminishing but slowly". His experience is a personal testimonial rather than a controlled clinical result, but his scientific credentials and continued daily use make his account difficult to dismiss as an ordinary beauty endorsement. NEEL's website describes him as looking 25 years younger than his chronological age.

NEEL represents a different proposition for people who are tired of products selling youth through extravagant promises: do not merely make aging skin look better for a few hours—help it rebuild.

If the next revolution in beauty comes from biotechnology rather than cosmetics, the daily routine of one of America's leading geneticists may offer an intriguing glimpse of what is ahead.

Speak Foundation Brings LGMD Advocates Representing More Than 20 states to Capitol Hill, Honors Bipartisan Rare Disease Champions

Patient-led organization urges Congress to strengthen LGMD research and help promising rare-

disease science reach patients faster

WASHINGTON, Sept. 16, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Advocates living with limb-girdle muscular dystrophy (LGMD) traveled from across the country to Washington this week, bringing their lived experience directly to the lawmakers shaping rare-disease research, regulation and treatment development.

LGMD refers to a group of rare genetic diseases that cause progressive muscle weakness and loss of function. Despite growing scientific progress, there is currently no FDA-approved treatment specifically for LGMD.

During The Speak Foundation's LGMD Day on the Hill, advocates representing more than 20 states participated in more than 60 meetings with congressional offices. They urged lawmakers to support federal investment in LGMD research, expand access to applicable Department of Defense research funding and encourage clearer, more consistent regulatory pathways for rare-disease treatments.

The event comes at a pivotal moment for LGMD, as scientific advances are bringing the community closer to the possibility of its first FDA-approved treatment for a subtype called LGMD 2I/R9, developed by BridgeBio.

"For people living with a progressive rare disease, time is measured differently. Research and clinical trials can take years while patients continue to lose strength and function," said Kathryn Bryant Knudson, founder and CEO of The Speak Foundation, who lives with LGMD. "Patients are not a renewable resource. Every blood draw, muscle biopsy, tissue donation and research visit is a significant contribution from a very small community, and every one of those contributions should move the science forward."

Advocates asked Congress to support policies that recognize both the scientific challenges of studying rare diseases and the expertise patients bring to the process. The Speak Foundation supports engaging patients before trials are designed so their perspectives can inform endpoints, eligibility criteria, visit schedules and outcomes that matter in daily life.

Advocates also discussed with their representatives the need for greater regulatory predictability. Rare-disease development programs often operate with limited funding, data and eligible patient populations. When regulatory expectations are unclear, change late in development or are applied inconsistently, promising programs can stall and investment can disappear.

The Speak Foundation Honors Congressional Champions

As part of LGMD Day on the Hill activities, The Speak Foundation presented its 2026 Congressional Champion for Limb-Girdle Muscular Dystrophy Awards to Rep. John Joyce, M.D. (R-PA) and Rep. Jake Auchincloss (D-MA), both members of the House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Health.

Auchincloss has advanced efforts to modernize clinical development, make trials more accessible and better integrate research into patient care. Joyce, a physician, has championed policies intended to preserve incentives for continued rare-disease drug development, including the bipartisan ORPHAN Cures Act.

"Hearing directly from those living with rare diseases, such as Limb-Girdle Muscular Dystrophy, puts in perspective why this work matters," said Congressman John Joyce, M.D. "Too many people living with rare diseases face few answers and even fewer treatment options, and they're counting on Congress to draw attention to the unique challenges that they face. My bipartisan ORPHAN Cures Act, which was signed into law earlier this Congress, is a step toward making sure this community isn't left behind. By working across the aisle, we can keep pushing research forward, leading to medical breakthroughs in treatments and greater hope for LGMD patients and their families."

"The progress families affected by rare diseases need will require sustained bipartisan leadership," Knudson said. "Representatives Joyce and Auchincloss understand that medical innovation is meaningful only when it reaches the people waiting for it. We are grateful for their willingness to listen to patients and work across party lines to strengthen rare-disease research and treatment development."

"We are entering a new era for LGMD," Knudson said. "Now we need policy to keep pace with the science."
